My first tablescape!

This is my first time to add a post to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch, hosted by Susan.

I have noticed it is quite a party over there each week!

We were having company over, so I set the table on our back porch, and I thought, “Oh heck, why not take some pictures!”

We bought these table and chairs from Target a couple of summers ago, and I have loved using them. The table is extra roomy, and the two chairs on the ends are rockers…so relaxing!

The chairs came with these orange cushions, so I bought some green and orange coordinating fabric from Hancock Fabrics to make some pillows.

I got the green placemats and stemware a couple of years ago at Walmart.

The plates and bowls are by Gibson and I got them from Big Lots a few weeks ago for the guest house. I love my lantern. I got it at Gordmans, and the orange candle inside smells soooo good!

Of course, you ALL know where those little salt and pepper “birdies” came from. :)

And last but not least, my silverware is a great little find my mom got at a yard sale. She got a bag of old tarnished silverware for only $5.00!

I polished them up real good, and they look like new! The best thing is…they are monogrammed with the letter “H”! That’s the letter of my last name-Good job, MOM! I will be using them in my guest house.

  1. Your tablescape is beautiful. All we need now is the food. Every detail is perfect. I think for me the best part is the beautiful silverware. I love old silver. I have collected a lot of it, but just pieces here and there. I love the over sized table spoons. I use them in the kitchen when I'm cooking, that is when I cook. You did a great job!!
    Have a great day.
    Smiles,

The orange and green colors are so pretty together. Your yard and the landscape is just stunning. I absolutely love huge expanses of green lawn. It is always so pretty. Beautifully done. Hugs, Marty
