Beneath My Heart 2010 Highlights

I cannot believe 2010 is coming to a close!

It has been an interesting year for me. I basically began working full time in June at my brother-in-law’s church daycare as their Director and went straight into a full time long-term teaching position in August. I taught third grade August through December.

So over half of this year I was working full-time for the first time in over 10 years.

It was not an easy adjustment for me or my family.

I learned a lot about myself and gained a whole new respect for working mothers who keep it all together. :)

Despite working, I was still able to get a few things done here in blogland. :)

Rhoda, at Southern Hospitality, is having a linky party.

I absolutely love reading all of the highlight posts that everyone writes at the end of the year!!!
It helps me catch up on anything I may have missed from my favorite bloggers.

So here is my year in review:

  1. Hey, Traci, you have had a very busy year. I don’t know how you’ve kept up with it all & working fulltime too. I know that is hard to do. You have done some great projects around your house, wonderful things that got completed. I really love your masterbedroom redo & that chandy you just finished. I’m so glad we got to know each other this year, you’re such a sweet friend. Can’t wait to see you in a few weeks. I love seeing all the projects around blogland too, so inspiring.

  2. Traci,
What a fun review. You did some major and awesome projects last year. Love your porch! Looking forward to 2011, too! I know what you mean about working full time, I went back full time when Tony got laid off last year. One positive is I am more organized and scheduled! I bet your third graders loved having you as their teacher!
    Happy New Year,
    Wendy

  3. Wow…you accomplished an unbelievable amount of “fun” work this year. It must give you a great satisfaction to look back over the year. I’m looking forward to seeing your 2011!

  4. Just discovered your beautiful blog and home. I totally understand where you are coming from when it comes to working full time and trying to keep it together, and not feel guilty when you realize you are not Wonder Woman. But you and your blog and your home/projects have inspired me. I will visit often. Happy New Year and God Bless. ~Barb

  5. You certainly have been busy, but thanks for the continual inspiration (decor and otherwise!). I especially have loved reading what you’ve done with Goodwill finds, and I will say I think one of your most spectacular projects was the velcro burlap bedskirt … amazingly great idea. Keep up the great work Traci!

  6. You are an amazing decorator. I wish I could have you come and whip some areas of my house into shape. One of my favorites was your back porch redo. Absolutely Beautiful. It has inspired me to get mine in tip top shape come spring! Love your style and your blog!

  7. I love all of your projects! Your home is so very lovely. :)
We did board and batten treatment in our house this year, too. Not finished with it yet, but I love it!
Hope you have a great day!
    Beth.

  8. Hello Traci,

You have accomplished quite a lot during 2010! I especially loved the guest cottage and the back patio. Your blog has been of great inspiration to me in many ways. I look forward to seeing what you share with us during 2011.

Happy New Year and God Bless!
    ~ Tracy

  9. You’ve done some really clever things. I love the blog you’ve created. I’m looking forward to going back through and looking around. Lisa~

  10. I can’t believe how many of your projects I remember seeing this year, long before I met you at Relevant. I am only just now making the connections that I see them all in one post.

  11. Love your blog! I too went back to teaching this year after being home for 8 years! I’m still trying to adjust. I just don’t get as much done (project wise) as I use too. I’m not ready to go back Monday either. I just started painting in my office. Eeek! Hope I can get it done soon!

  12. I loved all your special projects and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2011. Yay! Love you, friend. Happy 2011 is almost here and I hope I get to see you sometime! Love, S
