Here she is….
Hello Beneath My Heart readers! I am Beckie from Infarrantly Creative and Knock Off Decor, my newly launched site. I am excited to pop over to Traci’s house to say hi to ya’ll (I think that is how Traci says it, right?)
I am a lover of all things creative. My absolute favorite projects are my Roadkill Rescue projects where I find curbside castaways and turn them into usable, and beautiful decor for my home. Today’s project started out as Roadkill. Yes, I know you see why someone threw this away. It is altogether hideous. I am sorry if this is yours and you hand painted it. Forgive me for my frank analysis. But someone must have hated it also since they threw it away. just sayin.
I liked the shape and knew it was just the perfect size for me to store all of my bath products in. I LOVE taking bubble baths and perusing the latest Pottery Born or Ballard Designs catalog. However, they end up all over my bathroom floor because I have no place for them. We needed to fix that.
I lightly sanded the duckies and the rest of the caddy with 120 grit sandpaper and then I primed and painted it. For the paint, I mixed Glidden Smoky Charcoal with Behr’s Pearlesent Medium. It looked much better but it still needed more. After I distressed it a bit, I mixed some glaze with some Deco Art Silver paint and glazed it with that. Then I added some black acrylic paint to my glaze and glazed it again. It gave it the perfect depth of color I was shooting for.
In honor of Traci’s Silhouette giveaway I decided to use my Silhouette and add some premium vinyl to the side of the caddy using the words, “Restore, Revive, Refresh, Renew, Rejuvenate.” Those words truly describe how I feel about this little luxury of life.
Beckie is awesome, no two ways about it. And so are you. So it makes sense for you guys to swap blogs for a day!
Beckie, I love your bath caddy! Your Roadkill Rescues are always so inspiring!
Beckie…this is just fantastic. I see these little tool boxes here and there, I just needed a great idea. Thanks!
XO,
Jane
Very cute idea! Wish I could see things with the same kind of creativity!
That is cute! I love it!
What a nifty idea. These are perfect for guest rooms and giving gifts. I can see giving them to shut ins, new mommies, crafters etc. I see these all the time in thrift stores. So glad to see them being repurposed.~Ames
That’s darling….nothing like a spa treatment in your own bathroom! I love to take bubble baths too…really cute!
Something like this will have to go in my bathroom….when I get to that project…lol
Better finish the kitchen first!

I saw your guest post over at Infarrantly Creative. I loved your post over at Infarrantly Creative. We are about to tackle a similar project in our mud room. I am reading some of your past posts. I am your latest follower now. I’d love if you would come check out my blog at http://www.diybydesign.blogspot.com. I’ve only been doing this for 3 1/2 months but it has been life changing already. I’d love if you would follow me back. Thanks.
Hello! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard against hackers? I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on. Any tips?
