Oh, glorious Day!

My son, Jonathan, sang at my sister’s church a couple of weeks ago, and I wanted to share it with you.

It’s a song called “Oh, Glorious Day” by Casting Crowns.  It’s such a great song for this Easter Sunday.

May you know and feel God’s Amazing Love for you today.

Blessings,

Traci

  1. This was beautiful, I love this song, and listening and watching your son sing it brought tears to my eyes. Love your blog and all your home ideas, but it’s your heart for the Lord that truly brings me back. I must say I could just picture your momma smiling down at this. I obviously never knew her but your Wednesdays with Wanda so blessed me and touched my heart. God bless you and your dear family this Resurrection Sunday.

  21. Wow….YES, the boy CAN sing! Traci, you mentioned to me in a prior email that he loved to sing…not only loves to but he really, really can sing. Tell him to run hard after God, singing the whole way and never look back. Pray now for the Lord to protect that gift and to bring it to fruition and fulfillment in His perfect timing.

  31. What a joy to hear your son! He has a fantastic voice! I hope he makes choices in life where his voice will be heard-as he grows so will his talent. Thank you for sharing with us–you can be so proud of him–as he should be in himself…

  32. I was moved to tears not only by the beautiful song, but by your anointed son’s talent and poise. I have a 12 year old grandson who is talented in music and I pictured him singing as I listened. He has been through some rough times and I am not sure if his tenderness towards the Lord is still there… I pray protection over your son(s) and that God keeps them in the palms of his hands….always…

  36. Hey Traci–I just saw this post. I missed it last week. I’m so glad I saw it! I know you’re proud of Jonathan. He’s so immensely gifted. I’m betting those folks at Harrodsburg had their socks knocked off by this song! :)

  37. Hi Traci…I was just blog hopping and happened across yours. I loved listening to your son sing “Oh Glorious Day”–what an awesome voice and amazing stage presence God has given him! He will go far with his talent. I also appreciated so much reading your thoughts about praying for a princess for your sons. My husband and I have also done this since our boys were little…also singing the Wayne Watson song “Somewhere in the World”. I was so glad that you posted a link to it b/c I want to use it in a video for our oldest son who found his princess 2 years ago. :-) My boys are 22 and 20 now and we are still praying for another princess…our younger son is in the Air Force and I am fervently asking God to bring the right girl along. We are also praying for a Godly prince for our 16 yr old daughter! :-) I have read your blog in the past b/c I remember your tribute to your mom. I know she would be very proud of you and the way you are raising your sons. Blessings to you and your family from one Kentucky girl to another (we live in Florence!)

  38. What a blessing it was to hear Jonathan sing “Oh Glorious Day”. I found you by Googling oh glorious day, trying to find who wrote this song. I knew it was an old song because I’m old, and I used to sing it in church when I was a child. By the way, in my search I found a YouTube video of Todd Agnew doing this song, and in my opinion Jonathan does a much better job. Thanks for the uplift.

  39. I absolutely love hearing your son sing that song…it made me cry for its beauty and for watching your child stand up at church and sing such a beautiful song…I couldn’t wait for my children to wake up so I could play the vidoe of Jonathon…I show everyone I know and I show them proudly as if were my own…I had to download the song for my daughter on her ipod and when I hear her singing in the backyard, playiong with her brother it makes me want to cry…everytime I watch it he makes me cry….you have a beautiful family and I look forward to reading your blog everyday….I show and tell people about your blog and my friends are like do you know her…and I’m like yes through blog world but no I really don’t, but they laugh cause when I talk about it …it defenitly soulds like I know you lol….Good Luck with the new house, looking forward to the beautiful and crafty changes you will make.
