Another Skirted Desk {for my sister} and my Laundry/Mudroom WON!

Hey friends!

Happy Labor Day!

And Happy Birthday to my precious Luke!

He turns 10 years old today! I love him sooo much!  He has always been such a good boy.  He was such an easy baby.  He is loving, funny, and extremely smart.  He loves to play golf, draw, and play with Star Wars Legos.  I am so proud to be his Mama!

I wanted to share with you today that I am guest posting over at Between Naps on the Porch today for Metamorphosis Monday!

I love Susan’s blog (and it was one of my mom’s favorites), so I am thrilled to be guest posting for her today.  I share how I made another skirted desk, but for my sister.

You can check it out HERE.

I was also thrilled to find out that my Laundry/Mudroom makeover was the weekly winner at One Project Closer.

I won a $50 gift card to Lowe’s and $100 was donated to Habitat Humanity in my name.  How cool is that?!

One Project Closer is an amazing site full of all kinds of helpful DIY information.  There are only TWO weeks left to their Before and After challenge, so if you have a great project you would  like to enter, you can do it sent it to beforeandafter@oneprojectcloser.com, or read about it HERE.

Have a blessed day!

  2. Hi Traci: I have been following your blog for several months…I am the mother of 3, grandmother of 6. I am just a few years younger than your Mom so I read your blog through the eyes of a mom/grammy. I am so proud of you! Your talents and hard work are spectacular but what I love the most is your love of Jesus and your family… Such a sweet family…

    P.S. Happy, happy Luke!

  3. Happy Birthday to your son! He reminds me of my own son’s interests. Love the skirted desk but secretly wish I could read the titles of the books on her desk – I am a reading freak! ;) And your laundry room is so inspiring – love, love, love the ceiling!! We have drop ceilings in part of our home and that wainscoting is up there, I just need the fortitude to get up there and uncover them – thank you for the inspiration.

    xoxo michele

  4. First, I want to wish your Luke a Very Special and Happy Birthday. Looks like he was having a great time at that parade! Congratulations, Traci on your win at “One Project Closer”. Could there be a better prize for you right now than a $50 GC to Lowe’s?….I think not! The $100 gift to HFH was also an awesome prize…see, those free doors “paid off” as a gift for others…way to go.

  5. Ok, I have been following for few months and knew that your youngest is named Eli (and I have an Eli), but I did not know any of your other boys’ names until today. I didn’t realize you had a son named Luke too! My Luke just turned 8 last week, and my son Eli turned 3 in July, the same month we welcomed our third boy, named Isaac. Do you have an Isaac in your crew too? ;)
