My Favorite “New” Fashion, Faith, and Beauty Blog!!!
Hello sweet friends!
Thanksgiving is almost here, and I cannot wait.
I love spending time with my family and stuffing my face until I’m sick!
I had planned on showing you a video update of the addition to our house, but I couldn’t get to it. There were so many errands to run today, and by the time I got home to film it, it was too dark outside (which was only 5 pm!). We have had major rain for several days now, and the sky is cloudy and gray. So by 5:00, is was already too dark to film. Our addition doesn’t have any electricity in it yet, so I wouldn’t have been able to get a good picture of it.
So I thought I would take this opportunity to tell you about my favorite “new” blog.
Okay, it’s not really “new.”
But it IS my favorite.
It is my favorite because it is my sweet, sweet sister’s blog!
She has been blogging as long as I have and her blog has mostly focused on her passions: faith and ministry. (She is a pastor’s wife.)
However, it has a little bit of a new look and a new focus as she has started to focus on couple more of her passions…Fashion and Beauty!
For the longest time, she was afraid to talk about fashion (and makeup) on her blog because she was afraid is would seem superficial and materialistic.
That is NOT her heart. Her heart loves Jesus more than anything in this world.
So she has blogged mostly about her faith over the past two years, with an occasional post on food or decorating.
I understand why she has struggled with talking about fashion on her blog. I have struggled with talking so much about my home. I never want my readers to think that my “treasures” are in earthly things. Jesus is my greatest treasure.
But I know that God is the One who has made me creative, and He has called my to create a haven in my home for my family. (Okay! So my home is not much of a haven right now…but it will be after this renovation! )
It is my prayer that I will have readers come to my blog looking for home décor or DIY inspiration, and find MUCH more. Hopefully, they will see and feel God’s love for them in some way.
My sister hopes to have readers come to her blog looking for fashion and beauty tips and find MUCH more. She hopes they find where TRUE beauty comes from, and that is in a life rooted in Jesus Christ.
We both pray that God will use the platform He has given us through our blogs to honor and glorify Him.
God has made my sister to love “beauty”. Ever since I can remember, she has been helping me (and Mom) with our makeup, our hair, and our clothes. She has a gift! She is good at what she does, and she loves doing it.
So after talking to many of her blog friends at Relevant, she decided to blog about ALL her passions and changed her blog from…
Walking in His Grace
to…
She is planning on focusing equally on God’s amazing grace in our lives, and how to create your most beautiful self….inside and out!
She has already been writing some great new fashion/beauty posts that I have loved reading.
Some of my favorite are:
Spend Less Money and Still Have Pretty Nails
The Secret to a Beautiful Glow
(My favorite!)
My #1 Beauty Tip for Women Over 40
Cyndi also writes wonderful, encouraging posts that will help you grow in your walk with the Lord.
And I want to warn you…
You will hear her talk a lot about this little guy too…
Her first grandchild! There is only 4 years between us and yet she became a grandmother this past September! Crazy, huh?!
I want to encourage you to stop by her blog and take a look around.
Maybe read her personal Testimony of GRACE.
I would love it if you would follow her blog and get to know my precious sister.
I do not know what I would do without her. She is the “rock” of our family.
I know that you will be blessed by her heart, her faith, and yes…her fashion tips!
Have a blessed day!
I’m a follower of both you and your sister and have followed your niece as well. You guys are truly a great Christian family. I enjoy following. God Bless
I absolutely love what your sister has done with her blog. I am really enjoying the new take on “beauty”! I love all of your blogs!!!
Isn’t it fun seeing Cyndi blog about all her passions? And boy, does she know what she’s talking about. I wish I could have her come to my house and get me all accessorized and beautiful. :)
Are y’all having dinner at your dad and Janet’s? Or do you go to Georgia for Thanksgiving? Something tells me you won’t be hosting this year. . . but next year might be a different story!
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Traci. We’ll be spending Thanksgiving at Duke Hospital. I don’t know if you saw my post on Monday–Preston had to have emergency surgery Sunday night to repair a hole in his stomach. We had a big Thanksgiving celebration planned, and it’s hard to have to say good-bye to those plans–but for sure we have a lot to be thankful for. So we’ll eat Jell-O and thank God that Preston and Jack are both alive. Jack said, “I guess we’ll have Thanksgiving at our home away from home.”
Love you, girl!
I will begin following her today. Thanks.
Wow! Your sister looks so much like your mom. It touched me when you said she was the rock of your family and at that moment I saw how alike they look. :)
I will check out her blog. Thanks.
What a wonderful post today, Traci. First, I love what you are doing with your new home, especially that pantry, mmm-mmmm! I get so inspired and I want to start doing all those things, too :)! Second, believe it or not, I didn’t know your sister had a blog (total shame on me) so I clicked right over there to check it out and I’m so impressed. I am so glad she is talking about fashion and beauty inside and out from a Christian perspective and context–now there is a niche that needed filling! I added Cyndi’s blog to my Favoites, too. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving (to Him).
Blessings,
Sindy
PS Your boys look adorable even with the morning-groggies :)!
Well, I just love your blog so I’m sure your sister’s will be sweet and wonderful too. I’ll go visit now. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Two beautiful sisters! One beautiful family! Your heart for Jesus does show, TRUST ME!!! And that new little grandbaby of hers, OH MY GOODNESS!!!! WHAT A BLESSING!!! ;)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TRACI & FAMILY
Hugs & Blessings from your Tennessee neighbor

Thanks for sharing your sisters blog! There are never enough blogs that focus on Jesus, so I’m delighted to hear of another. Hope you’re having a great Thanksgiving week!
I am LOVING her blog and all the tips! I told her just today that I so look forward to her posts! Happy Thanksgiving!
Amanda
Hey Traci, Im excited to check out your sister’s blog, but I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you I totally agree with you! Im sure there are probably negative commenters from time to time (who clearly never learned to not say anything if you have nothing nice to say!!!) but I think its just the enemy trying to trip you up because you have such an encouraging & uplifting blog. God is the CREATor of ALL THINGS that are beautiful & lovely…and creativity is such a gift! You using this gift the Lord has blessed you with brings him worship & praise bc you are using it for HIM! Anyway, Im rambling now… just wanted to tell you that any negative comments that might come your way are just lies lies lies… you know your heart before the Lord and that is ALL that matters. You are using your gifts to glorify Him & Im so encouraged by you!
