Adding Color to your Spring Wardrobe

Good morning!

I’m Cyndi, Traci’s sister~~the one who did the crazy video of my first visit to the Habitat Restore. Traci and I had way too much fun doing that together!

I blog at Walking in Grace and Beauty and I share tips on fashion, make-up, and beauty, as well as reminders that true beauty begins on the inside with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Well, most of you know my sister loves DIY and she’s great at it. Because she always has some project going on she’s usually in a t-shirt and yoga pants. But don’t let her fool you, when she’s not DIYing she loves to wear cute and trendy clothes. Here’s a picture I took of her this week in a long pleated skirt…..adorable!

uk2Traci, like lots of busy Moms, doesn’t have a lot of time to spend on shopping and looking at the latest fashion trends. That’s where I come in, I love to share fashion and beauty tips for busy Moms who want to look fashionable on a budget.

This spring/summer is all about color and I love it!!

Here are some easy and inexpensive ways I’ve added color this spring~~

Colored jeans are everywhere! I bought these at TJ Maxx and I paired them with my chambray shirt I got at Old Navy.

An easy way to add color is shopping for colorful tops. I purchased this one at TJ Maxx and I added a turquoise bracelet because color blocking is so popular. Accessories can definitely add color to your spring/summer wardrobe. I purchased this coral Nine West purse at TJ Maxx (yes, I love TJ Maxx!). Lastly, shoes can add color! I haven’t gotten any colorful shoes yet, but I will be adding them to my wardrobe soon. Here are some colorful shoes that I love~~

So what do you think? Are you trying to add color to your spring/summer wardrobe?

Beauty For the Heart~~As much as I love fashion and I love blogging about it, there’s something that is much more important and that’s my inner beauty. How can I have inner beauty? By having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

My favorite verse is Philippians 3:10 (AMP), [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death.

Let’s be determined to know Him more so that our inner beauty shines!

Thanks for all the helpful tips, sis!

  1. You both are just too darn cute! Loving the pic of Traci all dressed up! I’m still on a mission to find some coral pants…especially after I see how great you look in yours! I’m sitting here in my pajamas, but you may have just convinced me to go dress myself for the day. Ha!

  2. Hi Cyndi…I am 61, but I still love to dress pretty. I don’t know if I could ever sport some coral pants…but a skirt like Traci’s in coral might be fun. (:>) You two sisters sure are beautiful!
I miss my beautiful sister who has moved on to heaven a couple of years ago. Once upon a time she was a model! I always thought she was so stylish. Isn’t it wonderful that God gave us sisters? (smile)

    Have a great day!
