“Best DIY Projects of May” Linky Party

I hope you have had a wonderful month of May!  The boys got out of school in May, which is like the first time in fo-ev-a!  So let the summer fun begin!

We got a lot of stuff done around the house in May, but most of it did not make for the best posts.

So my favorite DIY project was my Knock Off Ballard Designs Monogram Planter

It was super easy and looks super cute on our back patio.

So what have you been up in May?

I cannot wait to see your BEST DIY Project!May diy

  10. Hey girl! I’ve been looking forward to this party ever since I posted about my new front porch on May 1! I actually think my front porch is one of my best DIY projects in months, not just in May! Now I need to get myself in gear and get some more projects done. Things have been so busy around this house that sometimes I haven’t known whether I’m coming or going. But now Will is safely in Rome for the summer (did I tell you about that?), Preston is busy in summer school at UNC, and Lee is finished with his freshman year. Our to-do list is still long, but it’s not quite as ridiculous as it was there for awhile.

Hope you’re having a great day! Thank you for hosting this wonderful party. You bring out the best in everyone. Love you!

  16. Traci–It’s my first time to comment or link up to one of you parties (I’m #36)! I’ve been a reader of your blog for a while and especially love your Wed with Wanda series. I lost my Mom to cancer almost exactly a year ago and am inspired by your healing–thank you for sharing such personal pieces of yourself. I love your blog and your taste–keep up the great work!

  17. Looking back over some of your articles, I’ve enjoyed your ideas for affordable garden planters especially. As if making the house as I want it isn’t a financial setback enough, buying readymade items for the garden can be equally as expensive.

So I enjoy the fun of taking simple ideas like transforming a simple wood planter and putting your own mark on it exactly to your own tastes and then planting something so as nature can do the garden decoration for you. It’s so much more fun than buying the readymade item, assuming you have the time of course.

I’ve noticed you’ve gone a little quiet this last couple of weeks and I’m very much hoping that more will be coming from you as your blogs I do enjoy. We all need to find frugal ways to make our gardens beautiful. The joy of a beautiful garden is that we only do some of the work ourselves, nature has a big hand in the final look, I think your blog brings that fact out nicely.

The choice of furnishings is not too elaborate and shows up how simple ideas are often the best. Keep up the good work.
