Favorite “PIN” Friday! {Outdoor Space}

Happy Friday, friends!!

Are you ready for a wonderful weekend?!

We are heading to the Finals of the Ky Opry to hear Jonathan give it his best this weekend!  I am so excited about going down there again and sad that it is our last weekend.  We have had so much fun being a part of this competition.

The past few days, I have been working on sprucing up our back patio.  (I will be sharing pics soon.)

So I wanted to share with you a beautiful outdoor space with you today.

Blue and white

I have always been a fan of blues and whites in home décor.  They look so stunning and fresh in this space.

The dark blue drapes frame this area perfectly and add such a beautiful punch of color to this patio.  This is such an easy look to achieve on your own porch.  Just buy some metal rods, drapery clips, your fabric of choice, and you are good to go!

I love the lantern and gorgeous silver lamp that adds light to this area.  Bringing a lamp outside to your back patio will give it such a cozy feel.

I also love the soft wood tones of the furniture.

The only thing I would change about this space is all of those gorgeous blue and white urns behind the couch..  Although I love the look, my boys would knock those down and break them in a heartbeat!  So I would have to find something more practical to put there that my boys couldn’t destroy. Smile

  1. A very pretty picture, but to me it doesn’t look practical, like you said, to have all that fragile stuff outside. Love the colors, though!

  2. Love it. I’m always looking to spruce up my patio but the urns are a definite hazzard. I have a collection of lanterns that would be cute there!

  3. Very beautiful and reminding me of my own Master bdrm. However, not only are the ginger jars fragile, the entire scenario would only work in a dry, windless area, unless one wants to be a slave to a space. Even with outdoor fabric the white would get filthy and the natural wood would not fare too well either…think mildew! (Ask me how I know.)
Still, as you say, the aethetic and feel could be duplicated with more practical choices: Vietnamese cobalt glazed flower pots juxtaposed with ones of natural clay, along with a sisal indoor/outdoor carpet; I suppose the furniture could stay if well protected.
Love those ginger jars!!!and everything else in this photo. Great choice.

  4. I would love to be on Pinterest, thanks! Beautiful pic, I can’t wait to see your outdoor space.

  5. It looks beautiful but I can’t imagine white in an outdoor space. We have a large patio and
I went to Lowe’s and bought 4 drop clothes and steel water pipe for the rods for draperies. We
bought inexpensive shower curtain hangers to hang the drapes on the rods.

  6. Ya, those urns are just screaming for a ball to be thrown at them! I know you have 4 boys like me & if it’s breakable, they’ll break it :) Not sure about the white either, especially outdoors. Other then that I really like it!

  7. The picture is beautiful and maybe that it is just a picture but I know what ever do it will be beautiful.

Can’t wait to hear the news about the contest. Please tell Jonathan we are sending prayers and wish him God’s blessings. Just smile and God will take it from there. I find it unfair that they can judge someone young, just starting, with someone older and more experienced.

  8. I agree with most of the commenters – beautiful but not practical. Would be more suitable for an enclosed sunporch. I adore blue and white though!

  9. I have to echo everyone else’s thoughts. My first thought was “this can’t possibly be outside.” It would be stretch inside! I know it is staged, but why not stage for what it achievable? Forget the kids, unless this was in a corner of the living room, I would bump into it and knock it all down!

  10. Yeah, I can’t believe this is outside either. Heck, I would knock pretty stuff over!!! LOL. It would definitely have to be a little more practical for us. But it is beautiful.

Wishing Jonathan the best this weekend!!!! GO JONATHAN!!!
