Do you need extra storage space in your bathroom?
Who doesn’t, really? 
I am looking forward to having more storage in our master bedroom because “space” is something that has definitely been lacking in our home.
Our family of 6 has been living in a 1200 sq ft space for about 8 months now. Like most houses built in the 70′s, the closets are small, and there is zero extra storage space.
So when Cy was putting up the drywall in our new toilet area of our master bathroom, I saw a great opportunity to create a built-in shelf to help with storage.
We are not finished yet, but you can see where we are going with it now. Cy cut out the drywall between to studs to create the built in shelf. (You can see my closet through the cut out. Our new staircase is on the other side of that wall.)
He just built a box in between the studs and added bead board to the back. It’s a little too deep, so we are going to fix that. But you get the picture.
I am going to use this space to store extra toilet paper in a cute little basket or something.
You could add storage to your bathroom with the same process. Just tear out the drywall between two studs in the wall, and create a built-in shelf with some 2×4’s!
