Favorite “PINS” Friday!
Happy Friday, ladies! I hope you have had a wonderful week.
I am still coming down from my “Haven High.”
I’ve spent some time on Pinterest this week trying to find inspiration for our master bedroom.
Can I make a confession?
I’m nervous about decorating my room.
I am struggling with exactly what type of “look” I want in this room. Plus, I have a VERY limited budget and a LOT of space to fill. I need to use some of my existing furniture, but will need some new pieces too. Honestly, it’s a little nerve-wrecking when you know that thousands of readers are following along. You are the ones that encourage and support me, so I don’t want to let you down.
Do I sound like I’m whining? Hope not. Cause I’ve got the greatest “job” on earth. I know we will make it all come together eventually. I need to just focus on one thing at a time.
It’s all good!
So, here are a few “pins” that caught my eye this week…
I love the headboard in this picture. Although I will probably be using my black four poster bed in our room. We do plan on putting a chandelier over the bed, but I haven’t decided what type yet. I like the way they incorporated tans, grays, and whites in this room. Don’t ya love that rug?
This bathroom is so clean! I think that’s why I like it so much. Do you think I could ever have a bathroom this clean with four boys in my house? Me either.
One thing I love about this picture is that beautiful old door. I love the privacy glass and the gorgeous crystal knob. Those little touches make me happy. I also love that sink. I am wanting one of those in our guest bath someday.
So, I like this picture above because of the bed. I am trying to come up with ways to create extra storage in my boys’ rooms. I think I have mentioned that before. This type of be would be perfect for storing clothes or toys underneath. And I know Cy could make me one of those! There is something very cozy about that type of bed. I love the color palette too.
Okay…Yum?!!!
I love anything with peanut butter and chocolate, so this pin definitely caught my eye. I’m really wanting to make these.
REMINDER…
Tomorrow night, I will be hosting my “Best DIY Projects of June” linky party!
I hope to see you there!
Great pins! I love the bedroom photo that you shared. It’s gorgeous. Good luck with your project! Megan
I love your pins! Whatever you decide to do I am sure it will be beautiful!
Hey Traci! Loved your pins for the week. I am currently working on our master bedroom too; with many of the same constraints as you, except ours is not very big so maximizing every inch counts. I am going bolder than I ever have . I mean, it’s paint right? If I don’t like it, I’ll just repaint it. Trying to do some of that risk-taking we talked about at Haven! :)
Could you tell me what time you will be hosting your party tomorrow night? We are going out of town and I won’t have internet where I am, so will need to drive a little ways to link up and post. Knowing the start time would help. Thank you!
a blank canvas can be so intimidating! don’t feel bad about that. i love that bathroom & think that could be done on a budget. it’s simple & absolutely beautiful!
I love the glass doorknob on the bathroom door, too. Those touches add so much character.
I loved your old bedroom and most of the items could be incorporated in some way into the new one. I think you should use the extra space to create a reading nook/sitting area of some sort via a chaise lounge or chair/ottoman combo or a love seat if you have the space, with side table and lamp as well as a vanity area. You could use a table or an old desk for the latter. . Seating benches at the foot of the bed are nice and you could even use a trunk for that use and get some extra storage. I also like some of the “coffee table to ottoman” transformations as well, and with a skirt they also hide things. (I keep my sheets there).
I recently read a great tutorial on creating that sort of look on a carpet. I’ll send it when I find it again. I guess I should pin:)
I’s too bad we can’t use all the looks we love in separate rooms. Even with a large house I’m still missing a few that I love! Decorating the DIY way is a lot of work, but so fulfilling!
Can’t wait to see your choices.

My sister had a tiny bedroom for her boys. A closet took up one whole wall. It was really only meant for one single bed, but she needed to get three boys in there. She designed a built in and her ingenious husband completed it. He built a bunk bed where the closet was, with a trundle under the bottom bunk. He built in shelves in the remaining closet space. For such a tiny room it feels very spacious. They keep the boys dress clothes in the master bedroom since a)boys have very few dress clothes and b)boys have an in-born aversion to hanger use.
Thanks for the inspiration! We just moved and I’m stuck on decorating our master too but I love your first pin. Good luck!
Love your pins also.
Looks like you have a great start to your bedroom already from past posts…no worries about us followers…do it at your own pace so you will have no regrets! : ) easier said than done….
I love the bedroom, Traci ~ the perfect blend of rustic and refined! Thanks for the eye candy. ;)

The door in that bathroom is what caught my eye too. We have a pocket door in our master bath, and a door with a window like that would be great. Hope you get to use one like that!
My spouse and I stumbled over here from a different web address and thought I might as well check things
out. I like what I see so now i’m following you. Look forward to finding out about your web page yet again.
