Chalkboard Calendar Inspiration

I’m going to be flat out honest.  I am a disorganized mess right now!

Seriously…do not EVER let me fool you into thinking that I have my life together!

Daily, I forget something I was supposed to do or somewhere I was supposed to go, etc.

Cy has mentioned to me several times, “Traci, we need a big calendar that we can put everything on so everyone can see it.”

I agreed.  I just didn’t know where or how I wanted to do it.

But yesterday, out of sheer desperation to organize my life, I started making a chalkboard calendar for my kitchen.  It’s the spot we all come in and out of everyday, and I am hoping that if I have all of our activities written in one place, MAYBE it will  help.

Wish me luck.

So I was browsing online yesterday looking for inspiration for Chalkboard Calendars, and I wanted to share them with you.

I am going to try and finish my kitchen calendar this weekend and will share it with you next week!

{I’ll let you know if it helps me be more organized.}

Have a blessed day!

  1. You know, there are just those seasons where we’re more scatter-brained, I think. I am desperately trying to leave my season behind after this last move, but we keep having BIG things fill our plate along with the little stuff that adds up! I tried to use the calendar on my phone, but I just work better with one where I can see the month all at once and physically write events down on. If the $ Tree ever stops selling my favorite style, I’ll be crushed!!

  2. I can’t use phone calendars either. I have a paper Month-At-A-Glance calendar I keep in my purse and everything gets written down in it. I’d be LOST without it. I just recently put a large white board monthly calendar on the pantry door for my son. He’s Autistic (almost 11 yrs old) and he has a difficult time understanding the concept of time and what comes next. He’s very visual, so I have multi-colored pens to color code all the information on the board and I have his scheduled events and school items listed there. I’ve noticed it’s really helped the rest of the family to stay on track as well.

  3. I was going to say that with a chalkboard calendar it would have to be really big (for me) because I write a lot. Chalk doesn’t do any favors when you are trying to write small. I can see how using the magnets would work. Some of the ideas are really adorable. I get the free Joyce Meyer calendar every year and hang it up in the kitchen. It works for us. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

  4. It is so nice to see a variety of concepts for Chalkboard calendars. One of every taste, size, spot and need. Now we just have to decide which one we love the best. Thanks!

  5. Thanks so much for including my chalkboard calendar and menu board in your roundup. I’d LOVE to have a whole chalkboard (and magnetic!) wall. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for your kitchen
