  1. Traci ~ I have really loved your blog from the early beginnings…..started reading with your Wednesdays with Wanda. But, I really can’t say the same appreciation as it seems your blog is one sponsored post to giveaway post. As many other blogs that I no longer read, it feels that your blog is going the commercial route :( What used to be a read every day blog has now become check it once a week blog. I hope you bring back more personal, family centered blogs soon.

  2. Ruthie,

I appreciate your sharing your concerns with me, and I thank you for following my blog for such a long time. If you have been reading my blog since WwW, than you probably know a lot about me and know my heart.

Right now, I have a lot of sponsored posts because I am trying to provide for my sweet family. I have made many sacrifices over the past 13 years as a stay at home mom. I could have gone back to teaching, but I didn’t. I chose to sacrifice for my family, and my husband supported me. We have lived on government assistance at one point, and didn’t know how we could pay our bills at times.

I knew that it was God’s will for me to stay home and that He would bless me for it. Not only has He blessed my family with spiritual blessings over the years, but he gave me the unexpected blessing of my blog to provide financially for our family now as well.

I try to keep my sponsored posts limited, but with the holidays coming up, I am just like everyone else who tries to come up with extra money to buy gifts for family and friends. I remember my dad working a lot of overtime hours during the holidays for us as kids. Sponsored posts are sort of the same thing. :)

I know that some readers see it as commercializing my blog, but I pray that they realize that it is just a way that God is using my blog to provide for my family.

I will be sharing what God lays on my heart when He lays in on my heart. And if He provides opportunities for me to make money for my family and relieve some of financial burden that my husband has carried for 13 years, then I will definitely do that too. And I will give HIM all the praise and glory forever.

  3. Way to go Traci.. I for one will do what ever I can do for my family too and have for all of my life, so who could fault you for doing what you need to do. God bless.
