What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday…My StitchFix!

I have been dying to share this with you.

I have something new that I LOVE.  Smile

It’s called StitchFix, and my sister, Cyndi, introduced it to me.  She is a fashion blogger for women over 40 who shares tips on her blog about how to be beautiful inside and out.

She told me about this fun little service she’s been using… StitchFix.

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. I don’t know about you, but I need help with my “styling.”

I’m a DIY girl.  I spend most of my time in yoga pants and tshirts, and my accessories are paintbrushes and tool belts.  Smile

I used to like to shop for clothes when I was younger, but now, not so much.  I don’t have the time, and I am too picky.

So Cyndi convinced me to try StitchFix, and here is how it works.

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. A group of stylists put together 5 stylish pieces of clothing (sometimes jewelry and/or accessories items are included) and ship them directly to you!  It’s a great way to add to your current wardrobe and get a hold of pieces that you might otherwise not have access to. No two Fixes are alike. Each one is hand–picked just for you.

How does it work?

1. Sign Up (There may be a brief waiting period based how well our current inventory matches you. Don’t worry, wait times are just a few days to a few weeks.)

2. Complete Your Style Profile~~After you get your welcome email,  you can start immediately on your Style Profile. We need to know your size, shape, style, price preferences, and lifestyle to get your Fix right. It’ll take about 10 minutes.

They will ask you questions like, “What do you think of the style below?”

2. Schedule a Stitch Fix~~Pick a date, and we’ll send you a box of 5 clothing and accessory items we’ve hand-picked just for you. Schedule monthly, or as often as you like—it’s your call. You pay a $20 styling fee up front, which serves as credit toward anything in your Stitch Fix shipment.

3. Try it all on~Try on everything they send you—you never know what you’ll like until you see it on. Pair it with items already in your closet. Each item includes style cards with ideas and inspiration on how to wear it.

4. Decide~Take 3 days to decide what you’ll keep. Pay for just what you want to keep, return the rest in our pre-paid mailing bag at any USPS mailbox. Keep all 5 items and you save 25% off the entire shipment.

You can set up your Stitch Fix monthly or schedule them whenever you need them. You can cancel at anytime!

I just got my Stitch Fix box, and I wanted to share it with you!Smile

It was wrapped up so pretty and fancy-like.  I loved looking at the 5 items that the StitchFix team picked out for me.

I liked three of the items in my box.

First was this comfortable and casual red top.

I will get  a lot of wear out of this top.  I can wear it with shorts, skirts, or jeans.

I also loved this black cowneck shirt they sent me. I love to wear sleeveless tops in the summer, and this one will go with anything. It can be dressed with a pencil skirt or down with blue jeans.  It would also look great under a blazer.

This last top is my favorite.  I love the bright colors and the chevron pattern.  It is soooo super silky and comfortable.  I know I will love wearing it.

There was another navy blue sleeveless tank in the box that I didn’t think I would wear as much as these three, and a sweater that I didn’t like, so I sent those back in the pre-paid mailing bag they sent me.

If I didn’t like anything in my box, I would just place all 5 items back in the pre-paid mailing bag and mail it back to StitchFix.  {I do loose my $20, though.}

Isn’t that fun?

My sister has been doing this for several months and has gotten a lot of really cute items that she has kept.

I cannot wait to see what is in my next box!

  1. I clicked the button to go to their site but it isn’t working. Just wanted to let you know. – I’ll type it into google. I’m like you – in jeans and a t-shirt most of the time and I am very fashion challenged :)

    1. Sorry about that. I’ll fix it when I get home. You can click on the word “stitch fix” anywhere in the post and it will take you to there site.
      Thanks!

    1. Yes, they are name brand. They are better brands than I would normally buy. :) They are a “treat” for me. StitchFix says the average price for an item is $75, but you can request to get their lowest price point. That is what I did.

They lowest item in my box was $38.00 and the highest was $58.00.

That is definitely more than what I would normally spend, but I am very pleased with the style and the quality of items they have sent me. If I cannot afford it one month, I can just cancel my fix for that month.

  2. Cyndi got me hooked on Stitch Fix too! I have the black sleeveless top too:) It’s so much fun to see what they choose for me.

  3. hi your info is great on this plan. I do have one question. when you do the profile do you get to specify things like not wanting anything sleeveless etc?

  4. You and your sister are adorable! I already love your wonderful blog and hers on style looks so helpful and fun too.

  5. Oh I see … you’ve been drinking your sister’s kool-aid. ;) In return, I think she should have to sit on a thrift store couch without using her purse as a barrier …

  6. Hey Traci! I ran across Stitch Fix a few months ago and it is so cool! I love this little splurge just for me since I’m a mom of two little ones and don’t have time to leisurely shop anymore. It’s like getting a present in the mail! Funny seeing those pics of your sister. We must have similar style profiles because of the two things I’ve purchased, she was wearing both – the polka dot chambray top and striped navy dress! Ha. I need set up my next fix!
