“Best DIY Projects of July” Linky Party!

August 1, 2013 AT 1:25 pm 8 Comments

Hello, from Georgia!

I am in my amazing room at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, Georgia enjoying the view from 22 floors up.  Smile

It has been great spending some time with the Haven team, and we have been busy stuffing sponsor gifts and Haven swag bags!

In just a few short hours, hundreds of bloggers will be descending upon us!  I cannot wait!

There will be lots of hugs, and talking, and instagraming, and tweeting, and all that other good stuff that bloggers do.

We are a crazy breed, I tell ya!

My sister should be here in a few hours too, and I can’t wait to have her here with me.  She is the best sister in the world!  {Just don’t tell her I said that.} Smile

Well, since July is over, it is time for my monthly linky party!

My favorite DIY project of July was my video on how to make a valance from a pillow case {or sham.}valance

What is your favorite DIY project that you completed last month?

Remember, you can only link up ONE project, because it is your BEST!

Here are the rest of the party guidelines:

                • Your project MUST be about DIY home decor or home improvement.
                • Only ONE project per blogger, please.
                • Your project needs to be from the month of July, 2013.
                • Please enjoy visiting other great projects by other bloggers and leave some comment love.
                • Please link back to the my party somewhere in your post. (Only those with a link back to the party will be considered to be featured on my blog.)

My StitchFix Outfits for Haven

August 1, 2013 AT 12:02 am 5 Comments

Hey sweet friends!

I am getting ready to head out the door with my 4 boys toward Atlanta.  My sweet mother and father in law live in Georgia, so they are picking up the boys from me so they can soak up some quality time with them.  My boys are beyond excited!!!

Before I head out, I wanted to share the StitchFix outfits I will be wearing while at Haven.

Cotille and Margaret, two fabulous ladies from Stitchfix, helped me put my outfits together.  Smile

Jonathan snapped these pictures of me yesterday, so sorry that the quality isn’t the best.

Also, I forgot to get the names and numbers of each piece of clothing, but when I get back from Haven, I will add those to this post.

The first StitchFix item is this black and white striped top.  I love this shirt!  It is super comfortable.  I paired this shirt with a basic black skirt.

The second outfit is a coral sweater from StitchFix paired with an off white shirt.  I also got the beautiful green necklace from StitchFix.

I love this green blouse from StitchFix.  I paired it with the white jeans that I got in an earlier “fix.”  The blue necklace I borrowed from my sister.

I love the green and blue together. Smile

Lastly, I got this floral dress from Stitchfix.  It ties at the waist and has a cute ruffle on the bottom.

Fun!

These are some of the clothes that I will be wearing at Haven.  Smile

Don’t worry, I brought my yoga pants too, and I will be wearing those every chance I get.  hee.hee.
