Merry, Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Friends!

I pray that you are having a wonderful day with loved ones.

I was going to post yesterday, but I had a lot of last minute things that I needed to do, and I just couldn’t spend time on my computer.

But I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you today. :)

I’m sure that many of you are going through the normal traditions of your Christmas Day and enjoying every minute of it.

But I  also know that many of you are having a not so normal Christmas.  Maybe because you have lost a loved  one this year and you are missing them terribly.  Maybe because you are suffering from an illness that is making it hard for you to enjoy Christmas like you normally do.

There could be a ton of  reasons that Christmas may be different for you this year.

But even when Christmas doesn’t “feel” like Christmas, we can still celebrate in our struggles.

Why?  Because Christmas is more than presents  and delicious food and fun get togethers.

It’s all about ONE THING.

And that ONE THING is the FACT that God loved the world  so much (that’s me and that’s you!) that He sent his only son, Jesus, to this world as a baby.

And that baby grew to be a man.  But not any man.  He was the WORD MADE FLESH.  He lived a perfect life so that He could die for us.

He took the punishment of our sins and willingly laid down his life for us, so that we could be forgiven of our sins and live eternally with Him.

HALLELUJAH!

Friends, Jesus isn’t just a story.

He is REAL.  And He loves YOU.  And in HIM is complete joy.

If you feel  something missing in your life and you just can’t figure out what it is. Let me tell you this Christmas Day, it is JESUS.

He is the only one that can fill that void in your life.  He is the only one that can give you perfect Peace and Joy.

My prayer for you today is that you KNOW Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

I know that I have already shared this song with you before, but I wanted to share it again.  The first time, Jonathan sang it at a church while he played the piano.  But this is the one he sang at the Ky Opry, and I think it sounds a little better because you can hear the words more clearly.

I love this song so much.  I am overwhelmed by God’s love when I hear it.  Jonathan received a standing ovation when he sang that night.  But in my heart, I kept thinking how God is the one that deserves that standing ovation.  He deserves our highest praise and celebration over the gift of love that He gave us, Jesus.

Would you listen to this song and stand with me (figuratively or literally) and PRAISE HIM this Christmas Day?

To God be the Glory,

GREAT things He has done!!!
