Easy Teacher Gift Idea
So, last year I waited until the last minute to get my kids’ teachers an end-of-the-year gift. (Truthfully, it happens every year. I know. I’m terrible.)
I had over 10 gifts to make, so I wanted to do something quick and easy.
I bought some canning jars, dollar store baskets, polka-dot straws, lemonade, gum, and yellow flowers. I wanted the gift to look bright and summery.
I snapped the photo above quickly on my phone thinking, “maybe I can share this on my blog next year?!”
So I apologize for not having better pictures, but I am just throwing this idea out there to ya!
I did snap a picture of me making holes in the top of my canning jar lids with a hammer and screw driver.
Oh, and one more of the paper straw that I put inside the canning jars…
But that’s it. I was rapidly trying to put these gifts together so the picture taking stopped.
I put about half of the jars in baskets as gifts, but I left the other half alone for Jonathan’s middle school teachers. For his teachers, I just put some of those little individual-sized lemonade packets inside each jar, and tied a note to the straw that said, “Have a Sweet Summer.”
For the baskets, I wrote “Hope your summer is as sweet as you!” on a card and stuck it in the flowers.
So easy, but fun!
Here are a few more teacher gift baskets that I found on Pinterest that I thought you might like…
