Monday Encouragement

Hey! Hey!

I pray you had a wonderful Easter weekend!  The weather here in Kentucky was glorious and made the weekend even more special.  Smile

I’m sorry for not posting my “Sunday Encouragement” yesterday.  I’ve known all week what I wanted to share with you.  It was Easter, for goodness sake! Winking smile

There are a thousand things I could share on that special day.

But my weekend was crazy busy, and I just couldn’t get around to posting.  Friday night, Eli got the stomach bug, and I was up with him every hour that night.  Saturday, we were headed down to the Kentucky Opry for Jonathan to compete in the Talent Search.  Cy had ran in the Louisville Half Marathon that morning, so as soon as he got home, I took off with Jonathan and he stayed home with the rest of the boys.

Jonathan and I had a blast together at the Ky Opry!  Jonathan advanced to the semi finals, and was the top vote getter that night.  He sang, “Sitting on the dock of the Bay” and killed it! Smile

I cannot wait to share it with y’all.

He and I got home around 3:30 am, and went straight to bed.  We were able to all get up and make it to church {on time} yesterday morning.  I absolutely love Easter Sunday and feel so blessed to be able to celebrate my Savior on this special day. 2014-04-20 09.13.18

Sunday afternoon, I went to my Aunt Tassy’s for an Easter Egg hunt with my mom’s side of the family.  There were a ton of us there, and it was so much fun being with family.

The kids LOVE the Easter Egg hunt.  My aunts and uncles not only put candy in the eggs, but money as well.  Why didn’t they do that for us when we were kids?!! Smile

I went to bed early last night because I was absolutely exhausted!  But I still wanted to share an encouraging post with you today.

My pastor sent the links to these two videos in our church e-letter this past week. I absolutely love the very touching testimony of Lacey Strum, and I wanted you to hear it too.  You will be blessed.

Lacey wrote the beautiful song, Mercy Tree, and we sang it at church yesterday.

If you haven’t heard it before, you will love it.

It’s going to be another beautiful day today, so I will be outside getting a lot of work done!  Can’t wait!

Hope you have a wonderful day!!
