Spring Sprucing Up with Lowe’s (How would you like Me and Lowe’s showing up at your front door in a few weeks?)

Hey friends!

We had the most beautiful weather here in Kentucky this past weekend!  I even got a little bit so sun on my face!  Yay!

I am so grateful for the sunshine after the harsh weather we had!

Seriously!!  Can you believe all of the snow that we got all across the country this year?

Did you know this winter was one of the harshest on record?

And the winter weather was especially hard the following cities named by the Accumulated Winter Season Severity Index (AWSSI) as the “10 Bleakest Cities of 2015.”

  1. Boston, MA
  2. Buffalo, NY
  3. Detroit, MI
  4. Louisville, KY
  5. Hartford, CT
  6. Nashville, TN
  7. Newark, NJ
  8. New York City, NY
  9. Portland, ME
  10. Providence, RI

My hometown didn’t make the list of the “10 Bleakest Cities of 2015,” but I am not complaining! :)  However, the winter weather sure did some wear and tear on our home.  Now that the weather is warming up, we have been clearing out the gutters, planting fresh flowers, and even building a garden.

It is amazing how a little “sprucing up” can make a whole lot of difference in the look and feel of your home!

Well, guess who else agrees?…

  1. The first thing I thought of when I read the title of your blog this week,”How would you like to see me & Lowe’s at your front door,” was oh no they have had to bring Jeff home from Lowe’s for staying there too long! Sort of like loitering! lol Seriously, I would love to see you and Lowe’s at my door! I’m signing up! Thank you…

  2. Whoever made this list clearly has not visited Buffalo! Yes, we get a lot of snow, and this winter was brutal, but they do not call us the city of good neighbors for nothing! Good news is that it makes us eligible for this great prize! thank you!! Ann

  3. So awesome Lowes and all of you lovely ladies are doing this!! what a blessing this will be for some needy families ;-) one request…whoever comes to Newark, NJ cannot judge our entire state by the look of Newark. NJ is a beautiful state; after all we are called the “garden state” ..but you would never know it if you only visit Newark. So please don’t judge us by this area alone … HA! God bless you all for doing this!!
