A Coastal Tablescape | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Beneath My Heart Hey there, Beneath My Heart readers! I’m Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog, and I am so delighted that Traci invited me over to hang out with you all today! On my blog you’ll find everything from home decor and DIY projects to organization ideas to crafts to random happy thoughts. Oh and aqua… lots and lots of aqua. :) I just can’t seem to keep it out of my decorating, and my summer tablescape is no exception! A Coastal Tablescape | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Beneath My Heart I must’ve had the beach on my mind because I decided to go a little coastal with my summer decor this year (as you can see in my summer home tour), so a neutral table paired with my aqua dishes seemed like it would fit in perfectly! A Coastal Tablescape | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Beneath My Heart This table was oh-so-simple to put together. I used a neutral tablecloth that I already owned and topped it with a lace runner {which is actually just a piece of fabric we had left over from my sister’s wedding… shhhh… our little secret! ;) } to add some texture and layering. A Coastal Tablescape | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Beneath My Heart The centerpiece is just a simple basket filled with textured spheres of all shapes and sizes and some fabric rosettes that I had left over from another project. And what is a summer table without fresh flowers, right?! I always love the look of white roses, and the aqua mason jars really made them pop. A Coastal Tablescape | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Beneath My Heart Another area of our dining room that I love to decorate seasonally is the hutch. It was my grandmother’s, and having it in the main area of our home always brings back so many special memories of her. A Coastal Tablescape | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Beneath My Heart The hutch is another simple way to bring more color and layers to the room– it really makes the perfect backdrop for our dining area! A Coastal Tablescape | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Beneath My Heart I’d love to be able to tell you that our table looks like this all summer, but with two little boys running around my house, it never stays this way for long. {Which is one of the reasons that I take so many pictures– to remember that it CAN look pretty sometimes! ;) } Thank you SO much to Traci for having me, and thank YOU for reading! Feel free to pop over to Just a Girl and Her Blog for a visit– I’d love to “meet” you! Have a wonderful summer! Guest Post Sign Off
