Preparing for our Family Christmas Cards (with StitchFix + Minted!)

I am dying that Christmas is only 9 weeks away!  Say wha?

I swear it sneaks up on me every year!

This year I am extra excited about Christmas because our little girl will be with us!  ACK!  :)

I cannot wait to see that little girl in her Christmas pajamas on Christmas morning.  #priceless

And I am super excited about sending out Christmas cards this year with a picture of my four boys and my girl!   Do you send out Christmas cards?  I have been hit and miss the past few years, but this is a year I will not miss sending out cards.

Sometimes people think taking pictures for Christmas cards can be stressful, but I don’t really think it needs to be.  I already have something to wear thanks to StitchFix!  I got this super cute gray sweater in my box this past month, along with these flare (aka: bell bottom) jeans.   I added a red scarf that I already had to give my outfit some color.

(What is Stitchfix you ask?  For busy women on the go, Stitch Fix is the personal styling service tailored to your taste, budget and lifestyle that helps you look and feel your best every day!)

I love grays, blacks, reds, and whites for Christmas cards, like some of the pictures I found on Pinterest.

And I love that I can send my Stitchfix stylist photos like these through my “My Style” board on Pinterest to help her choose items for my fix each month!  If I was wanting to dress our family in neutral colors instead, I could send a note to my Stitchfix stylist  and request only neutral colored items in my fix that month.  If I want casual, I ask for casual.  If I want dressy, I ask for dressy.  I LOVE having a stylist who helps me pick items that will work best for me and what I need.

And did you know that Stitchfix just came out with an app??!!  I KNOW!  I have downloaded it, but haven’t used it yet.  I plan on uploading my picture so that my stylist can get to know me better and be able to see my hair, eye, and skin colors to help her choose clothing items that will compliment them.  #bonus

For my Christmas cards, I will be using Minted.  It is my favorite online store to orders my cards.  They have beautiful options to choose from, and they make getting Christmas cards super easy!  And when I was on their website today, I saw that all of their foil cards are 20% off!

Because I STRONGLY DISLIKE taking pictures of myself, it is hard for me to be serious when Cy is taking pictures of me.  Here is a gif to show you what our fashion shoots look like…..#wearesoprofessional
