Behind the Scenes of Jonathan’s Blind Audition on The Voice {Part 2}
Thank you all so much for all of the sweet comments about Jonathan! We have read them all, and we are feeling blessed to have such a wonderful online “family” that supports and encourages us each and every day!
In my last post, I shared with you the month that led up to Jonathan’s blind audition. We had been in LA for four weeks when my husband and the rest of my boys arrived. They had to stay at a different hotel, so we didn’t get to see them right when they arrived. It was two days later when we saw them on The Voice set to shoot some video. We all got dressed and ready for a lot of filming.
If you watched Jonathan’s “story” last Monday night, you will remember how he said that Eli was a “chick magnet.” HA! Well, he was also a “Carson magnet” because these two hit it off! And you could definitely tell it in the video after Pharrell hit his button for Jonathan. Carson picked Eli up and swung him around!
The sets for The Voice are pretty amazing! They have several buildings where all of this takes place, and it was so surreal to be a part of it.
We were in the background of many of the interviews that Carson did with other contestants. They would say, “Sit right here and just talk to each other.” Or “Stand over there and hang out.” They would rotate us around the set as they were filming other contestants.
The actual stage where Jonathan performed is not as big as it looks on tv, but it is still amazing!

I was amazed at how calm Jonathan was before he performed! I don’t know if I would be that calm when I was 16!
At one of his rehearsals, I snapped a picture of me in the audience. You can see the coaches’ chairs behind me. SO COOL!

Tonight, the battle rounds continue, and be sure to watch because you might see Jonathan again! :)
The Louisville NBC station was showing his audition this morning and talking about how good he was. :)
Exciting! Can’t wait to (hopefully) see Jonathan!

I’m just home from a meeting at church, but have is saved on my DVR and will be watching and cheering him on!
So excited for everyone. Just went to youtube and typed in Team Pharrell 2016 and found a behind the scenes clip with Jonathan. Good luck Jonathan. Can’t wait to see him perform again!
Got on YouTube and found Jonathan singing Photograph with the young lady he was teamed up with. Beautiful…..I had to listen to it three times!!!! They harmonize so well together…I really hope we’ll get to hear it on the radio sometime…..they sang so well together. Jonathan’s voice sounds a little like Michael Bouble!!!! I hope someone sees his talent and helps him live his dream of singing. I look forward to hearing updates from you Traci!!!!!!
I watched the battle rounds this week and caught the glipse of Jonathan in the montage and of course it showed Pharrell’s decision. I was so bummed. I was so hopeful Jonathan would make it further in the competition. So is life though; you just take it in stride and I know Jonathan will use this experience and any advice he received and continue on his path. He’s just beginning. Still team Jonathan.
