Our Trip to The Voice Finale and Jonathan’s New Video!
Wow! What a week!
Jonathan and I were able to fly out to LA on Sunday for NBC’s The Voice finale on Monday and Tuesday night!
It was an amazing trip and INCREDIBLE to see our Voice Family again!
When we arrived at the hotel late Sunday night, my sweet Hannah-Banana was just getting back from rehearsals. Y’all, I cannot tell you how much I love this girl! She is exactly the type of person I wanna be when I grow up. :)
Hannah made it to the Final Four, and got third place, but y’all she was THE WINNER from the very start! There are very few young women out there anymore that are as beautiful on the inside than they are on the outside, and that is my Hannah. Her friendship is the greatest treasure I took away from my time with The Voice!
And then there is sweet Caity Peters! Another treasure from my time with The Voice! And yet another young women whose heart is absolutely gorgeous!
Here we are with some more of our favorite peeps from the show…Ryan Quinn, Caity, Paxton Ingram, and Owen Danoff.
Sweet Owen has one of my favorite voices on the whole show. I downloaded every single one of his songs, and they put my heart at rest when I listen to them, much like James Taylor. Owen is a precious soul.
Oh my gosh! And then there is crazy Paxton! This kid is just one big smile, ALL THE TIME! He is full of joy and laughter and encouragement! I loved being around Paxton!
Here we are with a bunch of the contestants (that didn’t make it to the Live rounds) before the show started….Joe Vivona, Kristen Marie, Jonathan Bach, Jackie Gibson, Jessica Crosby, and Mike Schiavo.
Unfortunately, they will not let you take your phone/camera into the show, so I didn’t get any pictures of all of the amazing performers, but y’all they were truly AMAZING! It was so much fun to be there.
One of Jonathan’s vocal coaches, Tamara, snapped this picture for us since she was allowed to have her phone…it was right before Little Big Town performed.
After the finale on Tuesday, we were invited to The Voice band leader, Paul Mirkovich’s home.
I got to spend more time with one of my favorite girls in the world…Shalyah Fearing! She is only 16 years old, but this girl is going places, y’all! She is a kind, respectful, generous, and a loving young lady.
And her mama was one of my best buddies (and best dance partners) while we were at The Voice!
Jonathan was also close to Shalyah since they spent a lot of time in “school” together. :)
When we went to Paul’s house, the contestants stood around the piano for literally two hours and SANG! You can’t stop these kids from singing! I had my phone with me then, so I took a lot of little clips of them singing and put them in one video. You will see more great talent like Mary Sarah, Katie Badsen, and the AMAZING Stevie Mackey playing the piano! Stevie is a backup singer for The Voice and a vocal coach for stars like Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez! We were mesmerized by his voice and talent!
We said our tearful goodbyes to our Voice family, and flew home on Wednesday. Thursday, we headed down to Nashville for Jonathan to song write with Tim Timmons and didn’t get back until this morning! I had hoped to write this post much sooner, but I was on the road so much, I haven’t been able to sent down and do it until now.
Jonathan recorded a cover of Tim McGraw’s new song, Humble and Kind, and worked with a local Asbury University student, Melody Peace, to shoot and produce the video. We are super excited with how it turned out. We hope you like it too! :)
We are trying to build up Jonathan’s social media, so please “like” his video and share it on facebook or other social media channels after you watch it.

Thank you! Yes, I love the words to this song! Being humble and kind is everything. ;)
Oh, I voted all I could for Hannah. I wanted her to win so badly, but I’m sure she will have a great future ahead of her. I so enjoyed hearing about you and Jonathan’s return to The Voice Finale. I’m quite sure Jonathan a most promising future as well. Fun post as I am a huge Voice fan. Happy weekend!
