Our Fall Farmhouse Front Porch

Hey friends!

It’s day 11 of my #write31days challenge, and I’m hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit. HA!

Actually, I am having a lot of fun with this challenge, and I am so excited to share with you our fall front porch today!

We decorated it over three weeks ago as one of the videos that I did with Wayfair which you can see at the end of this post.  :)

I am thrilled with how it turned out!

I continued my love affair with navy blue right now onto my front porch.  I made a navy blue bow with gold polka-dots to each of my boxwood wreaths for my front doors.  I used my preserved boxwood wreaths because they do not get any sun on my front porch, but if your front porch does, I would suggest faux boxwood wreaths.

Next, to bring in some fall colors, I add this orange and cream striped rug underneath my welcome mat.

I anchored my front doors with these beautiful rustic barrels and placed large yellow mums in each one.

Yellow mums are my FAVORITE!  The scream happiness. :)

Then for fun, I spray painted a couple of my pumpkins navy blue and placed some sign letters that I spray painted gold on them with the phrase “Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet.”  (My boys favorite things to say around halloween!)  :)

I also spray painted a couple of the pumpkins gold as well.  You can see how I painted my pumpkins in the video below.

I placed the pumpkins on different size stools and benches to add some height and depth.  I also brought out my navy blue and white throw from Wayfair for even more color.

In each window box on our front porch, I added some violet pansies, kale, and miniature pumpkins.

I had so much fun with this project!  We usually go in the house through the back door, but because of the construction on our new garage, we’ve had to use the front door.  Having my fall front porch to welcome me every time I come home has definitely gotten me into the fall spirit! :)

  1. Love the navy-unexpected and so pretty with the yellow, orange and gold. Very cheery! I also have yellow moms and all orange pumpkins. Happy Halloween 🎃👻

  2. Loved your different approach with color for Fall decorations. I would never have thought about using navy blue, but it was very pretty and welcoming. Yellow mums are my favorite also. I love that bright color of yellow, they make me smile! I don’t have a front porch, more a stoop, but I place yellow mums on the steps along with different size pumpkins and I have a Fall decorated wreath on my front door. I have a couple of old coal buckets that I place mums in and set them in the flower beds around the stoop. I also have a garden flag (with a Fall theme of course). It’s simple, but I love the way it looks and feels welcoming. Always love your tips and ideas!! God Bless!
