Life in Season

Happy Monday!

I can’t believe that in ONE WEEK, Luke and I will be boarding a plane to Lativa!!  I cannot wait to go back to that beautiful country and hug my sweet friends over there.  It will be a quick trip to finalize the adoption, so we will be flying back on Thanksgiving day.  So  much to be THANKFUL for!

Today, I want to share with you something very special from two very special people.  Two sisters, Heather and Vanessa, who are both bloggers, just like my sister and I.

I met Heather and Vanessa shortly after I began blogging, and we instantly connected.  They are warm and friendly and talkative (like me!,) and they LOVE life!  They spread joy and inspiration everywhere they go.

When they told me that they had written a book together, I was so happy for them!  Their new book is called Life in Season.

I love how their book takes us through each of the beautiful seasons of our lives.  Each one is unique and purposeful in it’s own right.

“As they have on their wildly-popular lifestyle website, At the Picket Fence, Vanessa Hunt and Heather Patterson share their inspiration, struggles, faith, and encouragement to women who – just like themselves- want a warm, God-centered, joy-filled life.  Their honest and insightful devotions provide inspiration for your heart, while their simple, DIY decor ideas can help bring beauty to your home.  Their easy-to-follow style and real-life stories prove that you don’t need to consider yourself creative to create a home you will love.”

As Heather and Vanessa focus on each season of the  year, they fill the pages of their books with inspirational devotions to draw our hearts toward God and each other.  And the recipes and DIY projects are the cherries on top!

Have a blessed day, friends!

  1. My sister and I just published a book too! “Out on the Hill” shares memories of childhood times spent on the farm with our grandparents. My husband and I have raised our family on their farm too. Doing this has been a great experience, the dream of a life time!
