Friday Favorites and Sania Louise’s School Update!
Happy Friday, friends!! It is going to be a gorgeous 77 degrees today in Kentucky, and I am loving every minute of it! I am going to try and enjoy some time outdoors since the temperature is going to plummet tomorrow to 45 degrees for the high. {insert sad face}
Oh well, it is going to start warming back up on Monday.
THANK YOU soooooo much for all of your prayers and good wishes for Sania Louise! She has had a wonderful week at school and was thrilled to bring a “good note” home from her teacher in Latvia yesterday. She said she never got good notes from teachers in Latvia, only “bad, bad, bad!”
School in Latvia was very difficult for her socially and academically, so I was really excited to send her to Eli’s wonderful elementary school. The teachers there are so supportive and loving toward Sania Louise.
I got these pictures of Eli and Sania Louise before they went to school, and let me just tell you that I think Eli was more excited than Sania Louise! It was so adorable to watch, and I loved Eli having a sister at school with him as much as I loved Sania Louise having a brother at school with her!
I snapped a couple of videos on my phone when I took her to school, and I wanted to share them with you real quick…
I’ll be honest, that it was nice to have a few hours to myself each morning, and I look forward to getting more blog work done each day in the coming weeks. I pick Sania Louise up every day before lunch, and it is the perfect amount of time for her to be at school!
I will definitely keep you updated through the rest of the school year on how she is doing. I’m going to enjoy watching her learn and grow!
And now I want to share with you some of my favorite pins from Pinterest this week!
Nice to hear all the good news about school. What a difference you have made in her life (and she in yours,I know). It was all meant to be.
I am SO happy to hear that it’s going well with Sania. What a blessing you have been to this little girl. You’ve changed her life. And no doubt she has changed yours.
Great big HOO- RAY for SANIA I knew she could do it! I love the pin of the pink door and the howdy mat! I hope you are enjoying your morning time. I bet it goes by quick.
I’m so glad things went well at school! God is good❤
That is wonderful for both of you! I’m sure you honestly need a few hours to yourself each morning! And it’s ok if you even take a little nap during that time if you need it! You are a busy mom, so take advantage of that time in whatever way is best for you… Paying bills, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, Bible Study, phone calls, blogging, and resting!! We all need alone time. Glad you will be getting some.
Great job Sania!!!!!!
So glad to hear things went well for Sania Louise during her first week of school. Eli is adorable with her. You can tell he truly loves her and is proud to call her his sister. I think your children have been amazing how they have accepted and fell in love with her as their sister. But of course they would, look how they were raised and who raised them (I am referring to you and Cy) and taught them to be the awesome boys they are today. In case I haven’t said lately, I want to tell you how Blessed I feel to have found your Blog and how much I look forward to hearing and seeing what’s next for you, your family and your farmhouse décor! Thanks for the update….keep them coming! God Bless!
That is such good news! I’m so glad things went well and thanks for the update. I agree with what Pam said; I feel so blessed to have found your blog. Goodness I can’t even remember when it was. I know it’s been awhile though. You’ve definitely added so much to my life; it’s just unfortunate because it just seems one sided; know what I mean?
Bless you and your beautiful family!
I’ve been mispronouncing her name (in my head) all this time!! She sure is a cutey pie.
Sania Louise and Eli are adorable! If I had never read about your long adoption journey and just saw this photo I would never think that they have not always been sister and brother! They even look so much alike! Your family is a blessing for all of you in so many ways. Each of you gives and receives from one another the love and support to face life’s challenges – that is a God given gift. Your journey is an inspiration to all.
So glad her week went well! Cute kids!
Fantastic to hear this! The pictures of the two of them are so precious!
So behind on my blog reading but have wondered about how Sania Louise did on her first day at school. She was so very brave to just jump out of the car and take off with brother. Not sure how it is possible that she and Eli look alike but they do, at least to me!!
How motivating for baby girl to have a good note from the teacher. Praying that everyday is wonderful and that she transitions into full day school very soon.
Loved hearing your voice as you told your babies you love them. That southern drawl!
