Installing Tile in our New Laundry Room!

Happy Friday, Friends!

I hope you had a wonderful week!  :)

Next Wednesday, I leave to head down to Atlanta, Georgia for our 6th Haven Conference!  I have a ton of stuff to do before I leave, so it is a little crazy around here.  BUT I CANNOT WAIT!!!

I look forward to this conference every single year because I get to see some of my bestest blog buddies who live all over the United States!  It fills my soul!

I’ll be sure to share a post or two with you about the event, and of course, you can always find me sharing videos on Insta-stories. :)

Today, I wanted to share with you how we laid the tile in our laundry room.

I chose a 12 x 24 porcelain tile from Lowe’s called Galvano Charcoal.  I love the larger sized tiles, and I went with the gray color because I knew it would help hide dirt pretty well. :)

The other main supplies we used were a notched trowel, 1/4 inch tile spacers, and porcelain thin set.  To cut the tile, Cy used a wet saw.

For our grout, we used Mapei sanded grout in CHARCOAL.

I love the way it turned out! It has been so easy to keep clean the past couple of months!

I put together another video of the process, and I would LOVE for you to check it out because it took me FOREVER to put together!  haha!!

It’s only about 4 minutes long. :)

And if you want to watch future videos, be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel.  Also, feel free to share the video on your social media.  {wink}

Thanks, friends!  Have a blessed weekend!!

xoxo

  1. The grout looks really light. Is it going to be hard to keep that color? I made the mistake of putting white grout in a bathroom and hate it. It was so pretty for a while but soon got dirty. I’ve tried everything and nothing keeps it white. The tile is white with a gray swirl so hubby is going to regrout it with a gray grout.

  2. It’s coming together! Loved the video, especially because you were in a cute outfit and Cy was doing his thing. 😊I’m blessed to have a handy husband too!
Have a great trip to Haven! I wish I could go!

  3. Very lovely, can’t wait to see it finished! I would love to have a dedicacted laundry room, maybe some Day!

  4. I think you need to rent Cy out!!! LOL He can do anything, how lucky you are. The laundry room is looking great. I know you must spend a lot of time doing laundry with all the kids. Before I go, where did you get the off the shoulder chambray top you are wearing n the tile video.? I loved it!
