Get the Look: Decorating with Olive Buckets

Hey friends!  I wanted to pop in on this beautiful Friday to tell you one of my favorite trends:   Decorating with Olive Buckets!

I LOVE olive buckets, although I didn’t really know they were called olive baskets.  ha!   I did find out they were once used in Greece and Turkey during olive season for picking and washing the olives, (thus the holes in the buckets.)

I love the old rusty patina.  Of course, you could purchase an original vintage olive bucket, but those can get pricey.  Luckily, they produce lots of replicas now that you can get at decent prices.

I bought the wall olive bucket for my farmhouse laundry room at Hobby Lobby, and I love it!

They are easy to incorporate in any room of the house!

In the kitchen, you can use a small one to hold utensils…

Or you could use them to store fruits or vegetables….(sorry for the poor picture quality)

Or what about using one as a light above your dining table?…

Speaking of using olive buckets as lights, I just had to share this picture of a kids’ room with bucket pendant lights!…..(swoon)

You could also use a small olive bucket in your bedroom as a plant holder on your night stand….

Now how in the world would you decorate with an olive bucket in the bathroom?!!  Well, to hold toilet paper, of course! :)

One of my favorite ways to decorate with olive buckets throughout the home is as a plant or flower holder.
