2018 Holiday Gift Guide: A Few of My Favorite Things!

Friends, like it or not, the Holiday Shopping Season is upon us.  I will be honest that every year when I was in college, and even when I was newly married, I LOVED to go Black Friday shopping.  Like get up at 4:00 am, make some hot cocoa, bundle up, and go stand outside the stores in the freezing cold kind of Black Friday shopping.  Many times I was with my mom and sister, and it was so much fun.

But over the years, probably because I’m older..haha!…it’s not as much fun.  I MUCH prefer shopping online from the comfort of my couch in my pajamas.

What about you?  Do you like going out to the stores on Black Friday morning, or do you like shopping from home….or do you not do either?  :)

Well today, if you like shopping online, you are going to love the “STUFF WE LOVE” tour that I am participating in with some of my blog buddies.  We are sharing some of our favorite things that we actually use and love.  Several bloggers shared on Monday and Tuesday, and the last group of us is sharing today.  You can find ALL of our links at the bottom of this post.  I’ve already checked some of them out, and I may or may not have bought a few things on their lists….ahem….

Anyway, here are some of my favorite things that I use often, or daily, and LOVE!

First off, let’s start with our morning coffee!

I bought this Cuisinart k-cup coffee maker for my butler’s pantry, and I love it!  I love it so much, that I just bought a second one for our guest house!

Next up are  these beautiful bath sheets that I also got for the guest house.  These just came in today, and I am smitten.  :). They are so soft and pretty, and they come in more colors too!

I got these booties a couple of months ago, and I have worn them out!  They are comfortable and go with so many outfits!   Definitely a fav!

I’ve shared on my instastories how I have been trying to grow out my damaged nails after years of going to the salon.  I have enjoyed using ColorStreet nails at home.  They are so easy to use and look great, and they come in a ton of different colors and patterns.  They would make GREAT Christmas stocking stuffers or gifts to friends and family member.  If you buy three, you get one free!  (That’s approx $9-10 a set/gift!)

I shared in a post last month how I have been taking BioSil daily, and how I can feel how my hair is thicker and growing out quicker.  I love this stuff, and it will be a part of my daily regimen from now on!

I have these Heart and Hand stockings from Target on my mantle, and I love them!

They are only $13, and there are different style to choose from.  I have been wanting some knit stockings so these were perfect, and I love the hunter green pompoms on them as well.

As a southern girl, y’all know I love big hair. :) This is my favorite volumnizer.  It’s the bomb.com.

Aquage Uplifting Foam

My favorite cleaning products is of course, THIEVES!!  I love, love, love using this product on every surface of my house.  It’s non-toxic and smells amazing!

And did you know that you can join Young Living through their Thieves Premium Starter kit?  Check out all the goodness you get…

Cleaner, Hand Soap, Hand Sanitizer, Mouth Wash, toothpaste, 15 ml bottle of Thieves oil, Thieves Spray, 2 Ningxia Red, and a bottle Stress Away!  Such a great deal!  Just let me know if you have any questions about any Young Living products!

And if you are already looking forward to getting organized for the new year, I highly suggest The Happy Planner!  I love mine and use it every day.  (I didn’t have a cute photo of mine, so I found this one on the internet.) :). There are so many different styles and sizes, so you can customize them to fit your needs.

  1. I usually never shop black Friday. We decided to run into JC Penney’s yesterday afternoon thinking everyone was done, they weren’t. It is a crime what people did to that store, hundreds of boxes of shoes thrown on the floor and clothes strewn all over the place. I really feel sorry for the retail workers. The line was from one side of the store to the other. Needless to say we left and I will never attempt that again!

  2. I cannot handle crowds of people so I will stay away from the Black Friday madness. Sadly, the last 4 years I have had to work the Friday after Thanksgiving, so I don’t even get to be tempted! We were driving home on Thanksgiving evening and saw gazillions of people at the open stores on Thanksgiving. It was crazy.

  3. I am definitely one of those folks that would not “darken” the doors of a mall during a “Black Fridau event, no way! I even try to stay away from Amazon as much as I can, in favor of individualy owned stores. I am shopping using catologs like Vermont Country Store, Lehman’s and some others!
I will try to contact you regarding how to use my Young Living membership that I started in 2007 and transferred to someone that you know.
Many blessings to you and yours!

  4. Hey girl, Thank you and your family for all you do in taking care of you blog and Instagram. I look forward to all your post. Thanks also for keeping it real. I’m going to Nashville next week and hope I run into you somewhere. You would be like a celebrity to me. I have purchased me some Biosil and capsules couldn’t find my sheet where I wrote down the regimen. Do you mind letting me know. I know you are busy it would be greatly appreciated. Not sure which carrier oil. I also use Sulferzyme from YL along with a spray concoction of witch hazel grapeseed oil distilled water and YL oils before and after hair wash. I do believe it has helped the hair but I could still use some help with my hair. Really hoping the Biosil will help with my nail. Thanks in advance.

    1. Joan, did I already reply to you on Instagram? I hope so. If not, I am sorry. I put 5 drops of biosil in a capsule every morning and every night as part of my regimen. Hope that helps!
