A few of my favorite things…

Hey friends!

I cannot believe that I am headed to San Francisco, California tomorrow!  EEK!

That is just insane, but I am soooo excited to be traveling with my sister.

{Cyndi didn’t like the picture I created. Smile Which is totally why I just posted it again.  hee.hee.  She says she is not a “hillbilly.”  But I told her, “Maybe not in Kentucky, but you will be in California!”  I love to give her a hard time!}

We are going to get to see all of the “behind the scenes” work that goes on at StitchFix, and I cannot wait!

Before I leave, I had to share a few products that I am absolutely loving right now.

The first product I just found out about last week, and I am already in love.

It is the Tanwise Self Tanner.

I was planning on getting a spray tan for my trip to San Francisco because I didn’t want to show off my pasty white skin while I was there.

But I read about this self tanner on the blog, Maskcara.  {Great blog, btw, if you are into makeup and beauty tips!}

Cara ranted and raved about this self tanner, so Cyndi and I both went out and bought it last week.  It was on sale at Sally Beauty.  Not sure if it is now, but you can also get it on Amazon for the same price.

I also got the Tanwise self-tanning face gel and used it while I was at the Ky Opry this weekend, and I loved it! I couldn’t believe how naturally tan my faced looked. I really wouldn’t even need a foundation, if I didn’t want it. It made my face glow. Smile

Another product that I swear by and have been meaning to share with you for a while now is this Neocutis Lumiere Biorestorative Eye Cream.

I have been using this for almost a year, and I cannot believe how much it has helped my eyes!
I have always had dark circles under my eyes.  When I wake up in the morning I look like a raccoon.  But this product has almost completely gotten rid of my dark circles.  I’ve noticed when I wake up in the morning, I could actually go out of the house without applying concealer on my eyes!
It  has also helped with the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes.  A ton!  Even my sisters even noticed it.
This product is pricey, but it is worth it.  Just a small amount does a ton of work, and this container usually lasts me a couple of months.  Since I am not getting any younger, $25 a month is definitely worth it to me! Smile

Lastly, I love the Frizz Ease products.

I have been using this product for about a year to help with my frizzy hair, especially in humid weather.  It works awesome, and it is inexpensive!  I use it in my hair everyday.

But recently, something funky happened to my hair, and it started breaking off around my bangs and became extremely frizzy with split ends.  I have no idea what happened, but it looked like I had lit a match and held it up to my bangs.  Singe city!  My hairdresser and I have no idea what happened, but it was horrible.

So I bought some of the Frizz Ease shampoo and conditioner to see if it would help, and it did!

My hair instantly looked better that day!

This is not a sponsored post.  No one asked me to tell you about these products.  I just truly LOVE them and feel completely excited about sharing them with you!!

Let me know if you try any of these, and if you liked them! Smile

  1. Have a great trip to California! I’m glad you reposted your ‘hillbilly’ picture. It’s so much fun to lovingly irritate a sister. I sure love to tease both my sisters. Also, I notice you posted your face on Ellie Mae’s body and your sister’s face on granny’s body. That’s probably why she didn’t like the pic. haha!!

  2. Thanks for the self-tanner recommendation. i’m always on the hunt for a good one. And I think that pic of you and your sister is hilarious! I follow her blog too.
    Have fun in SF!

  3. Have a wonderful trip to my state, CA! It’s funny to think you’re going to be about an hour away from where I live (hollister). True, it’s supposed to be rainy but enjoy the CA weather when it clears up! Btw, I really enjoy reading your blog and look forward to your posts!

  4. love it. I was not blessed with a sister but a cousin that was close to that. Lost her last year to the ugly cancer.she was to her children what your mother was to you and Cyndi.well, not wanting to be a downer because those blessed people have such fun memories connected with them. Have a great trip and please keep us informed. Gotta get busy with my ordering of some of those fantastic products.

    1. Just found your site, love the information about the self tanning. I bought St. Tropez last year and I couldn’t stand the smell, how is the Tanwise one? I would love to have a tan for the summer, (a fake one) maybe there is hope after all.
      Thanks
