DIY Pinecone Wreath Place Card Holders and Christmas Tablescape

Hey friends!  I’m partnering with JOANN today to show you how to create a Christmas tablescape with pinecone wreath place card holders.  (All source links for this tablescape are listed at the bottom of this post.)

I went for a more neutral color scheme this year, and I enjoyed adding lots of greenery to my tablescape.  JOANN has the most beautiful frosted greenery right now that is very realistic looking. In the middle of the table, you can see the garland that I used around my candles.  I place two strands of garland on top of a grey table runner that I already had and then tucked some extra pinecones and twinkle lights in them as well.

I found three of the cutest wreaths and  attached them on the back of each chair with some white bridal ribbon.

Then I attached some stemmed pinecones to the middle of each tied ribbon.

I also used those stemmed pinecones in my cylinder vases as well.  To make the each vase, I placed a white candle in the middle, poured in some faux snow, and then sprinkled the snow with the pinecones.  (I cut the pine cones off the stem for the vases.)

To make the DIY Pinecone Wreath Place Card Holders, all you need is…

You can make the wreaths any size you want.  I decided to make mine the size of the top of my glasses.  I wrapped the wire around the glass, twisted the wired, and trimmed the excess with wire cutters.

I made eight of these for my tablescape.

Next, I glued the pinecones on the wire wreath.

Then I cut the card stock to look like a ribbon.

Lastly, I wrote the names on the card stock and glued them, along with some faux greenery, to the front of the pinecone wreath.

I just LOVE the way they turned out!

It’s hard to get good pictures of candlelight, but I tried.  :)

I love how the table is all a glow.

My pendant lights reflected the glow from the candlelight…

Now I’m ready to make some special Christmas memories around this table!!  Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Here is a list of the products I used for my tablescape:

  1. Hi Traci! Everything looks so classy! What an inspiration you are to me. I have not thought of Joann’s as a place to buy this type of stuff. I only think of them as a fabric store. Thanks so much for the tutorial!

  2. Great looking table Traci!! Love the subdued color scheme. I am going to get some of the greenery, candles, pine cones and create a center piece for my table once we get past Thanksgiving. I love the Joy sign also. I hope the Joann’s near me still has one.

Yes the first snow of the season is always magical.
