Strawberry Pizza {Wednesdays with Wanda}

I was looking through Mom’s articles from when she was the food editor for our local newspaper and found one of her favorite spring/summertime recipes.

It is a recipe for Strawberry Pizza.  Have you ever tried it?  It is soooo delicious.

It was a recipe that my sister, Cyndi, had gotten from her wonderful mother-in-law, Gertrude many years ago.

A few weeks before we found out Mom had cancer, she made this recipe for our family.  My boys gobbled it up and asked me to make it again sometime soon.

It was also around the time that Mom had started blogging.  I had encouraged her to start a blog to help her get her mind off things.  (She had been really discouraged about how bad her health had gotten and didn’t know at the time it was the cancer.)

She started a blog called, Walking with the Lord.  She worked so hard on each post, and she told me she was sleeping better at night each time she posted.

This is her post about her Strawberry Pizza, and I wanted to share it with you…

This Strawberry Pizza Rocks!

Last Saturday, some of our family went to my daughter, Traci’s, for a fun day together.  For lunch, Traci served BLT’s and chips and I brought watermelon and Strawberry Pizza! The strawberry pizza was gone in minutes. Try this recipe before summer is over – you’re gonna love it! It’s quick and easy to make!

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.  Spray Pizza Pan with PAM.  Below are the ingredients you’ll need.

STEP 1.  Ingredient: Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Roll. Spread the Pillsbury Cookie Dough on the pizza pan like pizza dough. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.

STEP 2.  Ingredients: 8-oz package of cream cheese, 1 cup of Confectioner’s Sugar, 8-oz Cool-Whip.  Mix the cream cheese and confectioner’s sugar together with mixer.

Use larger spoon to fold in the Cool-Whip to the above mixture.

Spread the above cream cheese mixture on the cookie crust. Place in refrigerator while preparing STEP 3.

STEP 3. Ingredients: 1 package of strawberry glaze. 1 quart strawberries. Slice strawberries. Mix glaze with strawberries.

Let’s eat! Get your pizza cutter and slice like you would a  pizza. Serve yourself first or you won’t get a bite! Enjoy!

  1. Traci, that pizza looks fabulous. I will definitely try it. We had a meaningful trip to Bardstown, Kentucky for my MIL's graveside – beautiful country. And then we went on up to Florence where my hubby's cousin has a horsefarm. Again, such beautiful country everywhere. I even enjoyed the 8 hours car ride!

  2. I found your blog from a friends blog. This strawbberry pizza looks so good. (I've done fruit pizza's before, but it is way different than this strawberry one) This is going to be our dessert tonight!! Can't wait!!

  3. That looks so delicious! Wish I would have had that recipe to make for Memorial Day! That would have been perfectly patriotic! I'm going to need to make it!

  4. I just wanted to add that you are such a sweetheart, I know this would have blessed your mom that you shared her recipe.
