Bathroom Makeover Reveal
Hey Guys!
I get to show you another great makeover that my husband just finished at my Aunt Lois and Uncle Ed’s home!
They live in a beautiful home, but they were wanting to update their master bathroom.
Here is what it looked like before…
And the after…
Cy raised their old vanity to a higher height and painted it white. He also added a new marble countertop, hardware, and faucets.
The previous tub and tile were definitely out dated…
Aunt Lois was wanting a free standing tub, so Cy installed this one…
Isn’t it gorgeous?
As you can tell, Cy installed beadboard paneling all around the bathroom. And he installed the beautiful octagon tile on the floor.
Here is another look at the tub before…
And now the after…
I am in love with the blue paint on the wall. It is so serene and spa-like in the bathroom now.
Here is what the bathroom looked like before…
And after….
My Aunt Lois found this beautiful print at Kirklands, and I absolutely love it.
I found this light at Home Depot. I wanted to add a little “bling” to the space.
It looks so cool when it is all lit up.
It was super hard to take pictures of the shower, but if you look at the before, you can see that the old shower doors where trimmed in brass. Not good.
Cy installed new tile in the shower and these beautiful glass doors to give it a much more up-to-date look. The glass shower doors really open up the space too!
Aunt Lois wanted a seat in the shower, so Cy created this corner seat and used some of the same marble that is on the vanity for the top of it.
He also used a piece of the marble in the entry of the shower to tie it all together.
Here is a look at the vanity before…
And now the after…

Aunt Lois and Uncle Ed are absolutely thrilled with their new bathroom. I loved this makeover because I got to see my Aunt Lois and Uncle Ed more than I usually do. So did my boys! My boys LOVE going to see Aunt Lois and Uncle Ed!
Thank you for letting me share this makeover with you!
Have a blessed day!

How stunningly beautiful! And how very refreshing to NOT see a large, useful mirror replaced by two tiny, framed mirrors in the current fashion of HGTV et al . What is that gorgeous blue paint colour? Cy is brilliant.
Thank you! I am trying to find the paint color for everyone. :)
Can I borrow your husband? You are so lucky to have such a talented husband. Your house must look fabulous, he does such great work. That is a beautiful bathroom . You can tell from his work he makes sure every thing is done correctly.

Beautiful job, Cy! I, also, would love to know the color & brand of paint on the wall.
Hi Jill! I am trying to find out the color. I picked it out, but neither of us saved the swatch, so I am going to have to go to Lowe’s and see if I can figure it out.
It’s beautiful! Did you ever find the paint color?
Will Cy please come to South Carolina?
Ha! We would love to! Wish we could be a traveling team! :)
Beautiful upgrade! Would love to know the name of the blue wall color.
Thanks, Terri! I am trying to find out the paint color. My husband did not save that info. Stinker! I actually picked out the paint, but he bought it. If I find out what the color is, I will share it asap. :)

Absolutely gorgeous! Cy did such a great job and the work is excellent – send him down to Charlotte, NC to redo my bathroom! You must be so proud! Great job!
excellent. so much attention to detail and comfort.
Jonathans video very appreciated and so rewarding to hear your opportunity for one and or all to accept our Savior and you did it so lovingly.
Is it difficult/does it cost a lot to have a vanity raised? My husband and I were thinking about getting a new vanity, which is quite expensive, but if we could just get our existing one lifted and paint it that would be awesome! Your insight on this would be great. Please and thanks!
Great job…it looks BEAUTIFUL!
Wow. That guy has some talent!
Beautiful!! Wow! I wish we could afford Cy to make over our master or our half bath! He does beautiful work.
I love post that take a left behind bathroom and breath new life into it. Amazing the work and all the wonderful materials picked for this project. I can only imagine the smiles each morning when they walk into that bathroom!! Great work Cy!!
This is so beautiful, could you give us tutorial on how Cy raised the vanity please.
Thanks!
WOW – speechless – that is incredible – it is so beautiful. Right out of a magazine……
I am in love with that bathroom makeover! Lucky Aunt Lois! Wish I lived closer too!
This finished bathroom remodel project is stunning. I particularly like the Hexagon tile. Can you please tell me the name of the tile and where it was purchased. Thanks so much. Love your blog.
Lowes sells this. Usually in stock and their least expensive mosaic floor tile option. Under $3/sq ft
Wow, you did a wonderful job! Beautiful. Where did you purchase your shower tile and do you remember what kind of tile it is? We are in the middle of a bathroom remodel and that’s the look I’m hoping to achieve in our shower.
DId you ever get the color name for the wall paint?
Thanks!
Unfortunately, She mixed two paints she already had together to get that color. :(
Absolutely stunning transformation. What is involved with raising a vanity? I have an 80’s bathroom screaming out for a remodel ;)
How did Cy go about reusing the cabinet and making it taller? I’m thinking of doing the same but don’t know the best plan of action. Thanks!
What an amazing transformation! I just love it!
love it, how wide is your vanity? We are looking at those same lights but curious to see if our vanity is wider
I love the mirror. Where did you purchase? My fiance and I are looking to purchase the same exact mirror for our bathroom.
Where is the white vanity mirror from? I have a 60″ single sink vanity and I’m having a hard time finding a mirror big enough. That mirror looks perfect!
Hi Kristin, I am sorry that I don’t know where my aunt got this mirrors. :(
I’m dreaming of a new bathroom (must sing that in the “white Christmas” tune :) )
What material is the wainscotting? Is it painted wood or vinyl? Looks great!
Where did you get the countertop and who is the maker. is it marble or a quartz?
Hi Deborah! That was a makeover that we did on my aunt’s bathroom several years ago, so we do not have the source of the countertop. So sorry.
Do you remember what grout color you used?
Hi just looking through old post, I am wondering did you get to find out the colours of the bathroom???? I’m painting my next week and am so confused with all the colours, help????
Hi Teresa! Thank you for stopping by! Unfortunately, my aunt was never able to find the paint colors she used for me. :( I’m sorry I don’t have that information.
I know I am late to the party, but this makeover is one of the best I have seen. So clean and soothing. Great job!
