Navy Blue Curtains and New Chair for my Office

Hello, from Utah!  I am here for the Young Living Silver Retreat, and I’m really enjoying my time here.  But I wanted to pop in and show you the new navy blue curtains and chair that I got for my office.

If you remember, several years ago, I turned this small 11 x 11 ft bedroom into my home office space.  But as much as I loved it, it was not functional for me.  So I decided to start over from scratch and completely create a new space for me.

Here is the mood board I created….

After we removed all of the old built-in furniture from my previous office, we patched up the walls, and gave them a fresh coat of paint.  We also installed new wood flooring that we painted white, and I will share more about that in a future post.

For my new office, I knew I wanted an area in which I could sit in a comfy chair, drink coffee, and have my quiet time in the morning.

I fell in love with this Monza Arm Chair from Wayfair.  I am crazy about tufted backs right now, and the sand color was just what I was looking for!

It comes in 5 different colors and is currently 63% off!  (Originally $1,300.00, on sale for $479.99)

Since navy blue is my favorite color to decorate with right now, I decided to add that color to my office through the curtains.  I found these gorgeous curtain panels on Wayfair, and they are called Charleston by County Road.

They are a darker navy blue than what they look like on the picture on the website, but I still love them!

Beside my chair, I chose the Ruvacalba End Table.

This table is only $79.99 and is super easy to put together.  The top is a faux wood.

For some lighting in this area, I brought my favorite floor lamp from the den and sat it behind my chair.  I am super pleased with how this is turning out so far.  I haven’t gotten a rug or any artwork yet, but I am getting there!

I’m going to find some more items from Wayfair in their new app where it lets me actually “view” the product in my room!  All I have to do is take one of the photos of my office from the camera roll on my phone, and when I find an item I like, like artwork or lamps, etc., I can select “view in room,” and it will place the item in my photo to help me visualize it!  How cool is that?!

CLICK HERE to download the Wayfair App and try out “View in Room.”  New customers can get a 10% off promo code when they download the app and sign up.

Let me know if you try it!

Have a blessed day, friends!

xoxo

  1. Hello- your office renovation is lovely! I’ve been considering ordering the Charleston curtains for my dining room. I’m hesitant from the reviews online, as sevralnare saying the curtains look black in person. Is there any chance you have more photos of the curtains? Maybe with them fully extended across the window? Any insite would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Hi Lisabeth!

I love the curtains, but they are definitely a darker blue leaning toward black. I am in Boston right now and won’t be home until the 16th, or I would send you a picture. If you haven’t ordered them yet, I can take a pic when I get back home. Just let me know!

  2. Thanks so much for the reply! I haven’t ordered yet.. who knew it would be so tricky to find navy curtains? :) I’m thinking they might be perfect, as I am looking for a dark navy.. everything I see just looks too bright.

Would love to see more pics if and when you have time. No rush!

    Thanks again!
