My FAV DIY Dresser Makeover Ever!

I have been blogging since 2009, and I have done a ton of furniture makeovers during that time, (and even before that time!)

And I will have to tell you that the dresser makeover I just did for our master bedroom is my new FAV!

I was needed a dresser for our master bedroom, but my budget didn’t allow for me to buy something new.  Furniture prices are CRAZY, and if you have to order them, they take FOREVER to come in…sometimes months!

So I started searching Facebook marketplace to see if I could find something that would work for our space.  I was so excited when I found this dresser for only $75!

Eli went with me to pick it up, and the next day, I got to work on it.  My initial vision was to strip the entire piece of furniture and leave it a natural wood tone.  I had been wanting to try the “Easy Off Oven Cleaner Method” of stripping the furniture because I had seen it all over instagram.  I did try it, but things didn’t work out as I had planned…so I had to adjust my idea and methods, and it turned out even better than I originally planned!

Yay for happy accidents!!

I put my instagram stories in a video on YouTube so you can see the whole process!

Let me know what you think, or if you have any questions in the comments!

Have a blessed day, friends!

xoxo

  1. Whether or not one can afford new furniture, it is extremely gratifying to me to save a piece of furniture. I have always dislike a perfect “suite” of furniture anywhere in a home. It is a warmer look and shows the thought put into your home. Once again, you have created a beautiful piece. Happy Thankgiving!

  2. Amazing transformation, as always! You inspire me to paint some of the pieces we already have and to scour the thrift stores in our area for more project pieces.
