I was so excited when I was given the chance to spruce up my outdoor spaces with pieces from Pier 1‘s summer collection!
Here is what my back patio and yard looked like before:

I love it so much! Now I am ready to celebrate family gatherings (like Eli’s birthday and Memorial Day) in my new outdoor space!
A few weeks ago, I had the chance to visit my local Pier 1 Imports store and was greeted by the wonderful employees. Kayla, the assistant store manager, was absolutely precious and spent almost two hours with me looking through their beautiful new summer collection.
The store was packed full of bright and cheery summer pillows.
I fell in love with the greens and blues in these pillows.
Kayla helped me pick out an umbrella, pillows, dishes, drinkware, and accessories to make over my backyard space. Here’s my loot laid out on the table! I was so excited to get it home and start decorating.

And NOW! All decked out and ready for some summer fun!
I started by adding 4 gorgeous Pavilion Pillows to my chairs. To save money, I decided to use the 4 white seat cushions I already had. Then I added 4 Catalina Cove Round Placemats to add a touch of whimsy to the table.
Next, I added white dishes that I already had on top of my placemats.
To add some beautiful color to the table, I placed 4 bowls from the Celeste Dinnerware collection on top of my white plates.
I fell in love with the Green Chunky Optic Drinkware when I saw it in the store, and I knew it would look great on my table.
For fun, I got these adorable Peacock Salt and Pepper Shakers! Are they the cutest things you’ve ever seen?!

Then she showed me how I could use the white cloth napkins that I already had at home and add some color to them by just placing a paper napkin on top of each cloth one as I pulled them both through my napkin ring. Isn’t that a great idea?! Thank you, Kayla!
Another fun thing that I got (and my boys loved!) were these beautiful Hanging Glass Lanterns. I hung them under my new Sandshell Umbrella, and bought LED tea lights to go in them to create a beautiful glow at night.
They are fabulous!!!

Pier 1 has so many fun things to perk up the patio……I think I would select a new woven jute or seagrass rug, two of the Kaeden pillows, and a colorful assortment of the hanging lanterns. Pier one rocks! I bought my DR curtains there this past winter with their deal of the day for 30% off. Check it out on their facebook page. I redid the headings for a beautiful goblet pleat that I could use on decorative traverse rods. It was still expensive for me, but a huge savings over making lined curtains and created a very professional look.

Pier 1 is one of my favorite stores
So many fun summer products!! but if I had to pick just 3, I love those outdoor lanterns, and I probably would have to get most of the Catalina Cove series of serveware but most of all, would have to get an outdoor flamingo to decorate for “Cheeseburger in Caseville” which is the annual August festival that Caseville, Michigan holds every year. It is based on all things Jimmy Buffet and is a play on “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” so anything a “Parrothead” would like would be great to decorate the cottage that we have there!!
I would like 3 of their garden stools. They are so versatile…..a table or a seat so I could use 3 in my outdoor space. Thanks for the chance to win.

I like the pillows you used on your swing. I have a white porch swing and a white rocking chair on my front porch that need some cute pillows. Our front door is painted a dark purple, so I think the Catalina Cove would pillows would look great, also with the green accent pillows!! It was fun looking!

I love having my breakfast and tea outside in the morning. Once it gets even warmer, it’s even better! I have been eying those outdoor rugs, because our deck is hideous… lol I just wish I could find or build some simple “blinders”, my backyard is like a fish bowl to the rest of the neighborhood, we are the second house from the end on a flat street at the side of a hill, so the WHOLE row of house on the hill can see into my yard (because I can see into theirs- not that I intentionally look) but that’s just it- you don’t have to try… I want like a free standing portable frame that I can hang some fabric (or drop cloths from) Or framed lattice sections I can move around.. Hmmm.. Like outdoor room screens…maybe not hinged, but sectional…

I love the blue and green you chose for your beautiful outdoor table and swing. I went on line to pier 1, got the $10.00 off coupon and went to our Pier 1 store tonight. I got 4 pillows (green/blue flowers), four of the small catalina cove small flower plates, the ruffle place mats and of course the peacock salt and pepper shakers. I can’t wait to get it all on my screen porch. There are still a few items that I would love to have:

Now, if I was to win that gift card, hmmmm I have picked out the Paisley Print Garden Window Panel for my Dining Room makeover. All I need is one! While I would love to replace my old patio table and chairs, that’s out of my budget for this year. To spruce things up a bit I’d like to add the Outdoor Catalina Cove Hammock, striped doormat, and a couple of red metal lanterns for the table.

I love Pier 1 … so it’s hard to narrow down just a few choices. But I would love to have the drink dispenser, some of those gorgeous pillows, led candles, and some of the lanterns.
I like how pretty your table look and how your swing looks more inviting to sit in it.
My 3 wishlists would be, a lantern so that my outdoor coffee table will look nicer, a rug for for outdoor table (it will soften the look of it) and a beverage tub for my kids friends. :)

How do I pick just 3?
I loved the outdoor scatter daisy pillow, the peacock pillow, and the fused glass lanterns.
I would love to spruce up my back porch and get it ready for summer meals. I’d choose the multi coir rope doormat, red scatter cushions (ours are horrendous) and also choose the aqua umbrella (we’ve never had one for our table) I love the bright colors!!!

I Love Everything at Pier One but summer MUST HAVE’S are for sure the:
1. Green Metal Beverage Tub… I think this is an amazing Must Have because it’s so dual purpose, you can of course serve your beverages in it, but it can also help by carrying all your out door things OUTSIDE…or even if your doing a S’More night, it could totally store add’l wood you are going to need during the night!!
2. Citronella Filled Candle Set…Is a MUST HAVE to help keep those nasty little buggers at bay…these candles are so bright and cheery they go with any outdoor space and how cute would it be to use the basket they came in to store your place setting sets on the table as well for your BBQ!!
3. Outdoor Synthetic Wicker Baskets…are my last MUST HAVE, not only because they match the beverage tub but again the VERSATILITY of the piece, so I would use the Baskets as Chip Holders during my BBQ’z, Marshmallow holders for S’Mores, A Carryall when I’m out sunbathing with my teen, it can hold, suntan lotion, glasses, a good book, her ipod…Endless possibilities.
My Fav thing about ALL my must have’s…they all come in at about $100!! Thanks and hope I win!!

I’ve been in love with the pagoda outdoor printed umbrella since I got my Pier 1 catalogue in the mail. Also, I’ve been eyeing the Santa Barbara arm chairs since my other outdoor chairs are on their last season. Are you and I separated at birth??? I love Pier One!!!! I have been looking at those lanterns for awhile now. Bought new cushions for my chairs in the kitchen and bought some new dishes “for display” purposes in the kitchen too! They are too pretty to eat from! I am in love with the peacock mirrored pillows and the peacock lanterns. After reading your post I see the peacock salt and pepper shakers and the hanging colored glass lanterns that i now must have. You back yard looks great! I love the colors.

Love the Catalina cove pillows. I saw them in my good housekeeping magazine this month and will be buying them as they will go perfectly with my banquette! I also love and have to have the Catalina cove hammock to relax this summer and that will go great with the beehive drink dispenser.
I would get the outdoor chaise lounge with the catalina cove and pavilion pillows (yellow) to make a nice haven for reading out in the yard.
