Christmas HouseWalk Tour
Hey friends!
I am so happy to be participating in the Jen Rizzo Holiday House Walk this year!
I wasn’t originally scheduled on the tour, but Jen had a spot open up this weekend and asked me if I wanted to step in. Of course, I said YES! :)
I love Jen and all of the other bloggers participating in this tour. It is SO MUCH fun taking a peek inside their homes to see how they decorate and celebrate this season.
If you are visiting from Jeanne Oliver’s home, WELCOME! I just love Jeanne to pieces! She spoke at Haven this past summer, and I loved sitting in her class and soaking up inspiration.
If you are new to my blog, you can check out how we have transformed our basic brick ranch house into a modern farmhouse that we love by clicking HERE.
I am the mom of four sweet boys, and married to my DIY partner in crime. Last week was a very special week for us because our adoption of our sweet little girl from Latvia, Sania Louise, was finalized the day before Thanksgiving. We definitely had a lot to celebrate and be thankful for!
We live on five acres in a small town right outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Two years ago, we added a front porch to our brick ranch, and I had a ball decorating it for Christmas!
I used fresh greenery and small pine trees in metal buckets from Lowe’s to add a farmhouse touch to our front porch.
When we built our front porch, it created an new entry way into our home. This has also been a fun space to decorate for the seasons.
We’ve put up our new advent calendar from last year again. The boys loved opening up a surprise each day in December.
Before we left for Latvia last week, I was able to get our Christmas tree put up and our family room decorated.
I shared some of the photos last week, but I will share them again with you today.
My favorite spot in our family room is our fireplace. I love seeing five stockings up on our mantle! It will be so much fun seeing Sania Louise on Christmas morning. And I am sure going to have fun buying gifts for a little girl this year. :)
I bought our Christmas tree at Lowe’s this year, and I chose a Douglas fir. I absolutely love how full it is! Instead of using a tree skirt, I decided to put my tree in this whiskey barrel from Wayfair.
This past spring, we put up new windows in place of the old doors that were there, and I knew then that I would want to hang some wreaths on them for Christmas. These boxwood wreaths were perfect!
I will be decorating our kitchen this coming week, but didn’t have it finished in time for this tour, so Jen said it would be fine to share pictures from previous years.
As you can see, I love adding touches of red in every room of the house during the Christmas season. I also love adding fresh greenery wherever I can.
My boys always love when I create a special spot in our kitchen for hot chocolate. I have done it several years, so now we are calling it a tradition. ;)
We have already started drinking hot chocolate and coloring in our Christmas coloring books. :) We also love getting a new Christmas puzzle each year to put together as a family as we watch Christmas movies.
What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed your visit!

Next up on the tour is the sweet Kelly from Kelly Elko blog. She is the first stop on DAY 2 of the tour TOMORROW. Be sure to check it out! Her home is always beautiful, so I cannot wait to check it out!

Traci, your home is not only beautiful, but so warm and inviting. I am so happy for you and your family to have Miss Sania Louise with you forever! God Bless!
Wow! I am overjoyed that you got your little girl from Latvia! My husband, Andis, is a full-blooded one…his parents came over from there after WWII…he just went this summer for the first time with our two girls and his mom, Inta! He is a believer, and we pray for all of his family…it is a spiritually dark place that needs Jesus. We pray for that beautiful country all the time, and will pray for your little one!
Tracey, I have loved to see the transformation of your beautiful home. I am so excited that you will have your first christmas with Sania Louise and begin to create those special memories with your sweet family. Happy holidays.
Traci, I loved your tour! Your front porch, just beautiful!! There is such a warmth to your home! So happy for you and your family, this holiday is going to be especially good! Happy Holidays!! Jen
I love your blog and pictures – where could I purchase a sign like the “fingerprints” sign in your entry?
Hi Carla,
I had that custom made at Between You and Me Designs.https://www.etsy.com/shop/BetweenYouAndMeSigns
You can just tell her you want a sign like Traci from Beneath My Heart. It’s the lyrics from a Stephen Curtis Chapman song. You could also send her a pic, and she can make it for you.
Thanks!
Traci, your home is beautiful, warm and festive. Hope your wonderful family has a blessed holiday.
Thank you, Sue!
Very pretty and am so happy to see all those stockings on your mantle! Congratulations! 🎄
