I’m Finally Sleeping Better

Hello, friends!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Things are as busy as always around here, and I cannot tell you how excited I am every night to crawl into bed?

Do you love going to bed at night?

Oh man, I do!  I seriously do the “happy dance” every night when I know I get to curl up in my bed and take a trip to Sleepytown. {ask my husband} Smile

We all need a good night’s sleep, right?

Well, I’ve been sleeping so much better lately, and I want to tell you why.

Many of you know that I have scoliosis and deal with chronic back pain.  My back hurts all day, every day.  It’s extremely frustrating.  I’ve been to physical therapy, and it did help my worn out back muscles some, but I need to go back again.  My scoliosis cannot be “cured,” and requires regular “maintenance.”

The most frustrating part of my back pain is that it interrupts my sleep at night.  I toss and turn to get comfortable, and I wake up in the morning feeling exhausted.

So when a blog friend of my started raving to me about her new Intellibed and how much better she was sleeping, my ears definitely perked up.

I wanted to sleep better.

So I contacted Robert Rasmussen from Intellibed, and we talked about how an Intellibed mattress would enable me to sleep better.

In June, I got my Intellibed, and I cannot tell you how much I love it!!!

First of all, it is extremely comfortable.  I love climbing in my bed each night.

Secondly, I am sleeping so much better in a much deeper sleep.  Cy will sometimes get in and out of bed at night, and I do not even hear him.  That’s crazy!  I used to be such a light sleeper that everything would wake me up.  Now that I have my Intellibed, I enjoy a deep, sound sleep every night.

Thirdly, I still have back pain during the day.  It’s just a fact in my life, and I knew my Intellibed wouldn’t cure my scoliosis.  But the good thing is that my back pain is not interrupting my sleep at night anymore.  I don’t toss and turn like I used to.

So when Robert asked me to do a webinar with him to introduce Intellibed to my readers, I knew I wanted to.

You may not be in the market to buy a new mattress right now, but you may need to someday soon, and I think it is great to find out what types of mattresses are out there to choose from.  Robert does a great job in this webinar explaining the different types of mattresses.  {I seriously didn’t know there were so many differences.}

The thing I love about my Intellibed is that is might be the last mattress I will ever have to buy.  It has a 30 year guarantee!

  1. I will definitely watch this when I get home tonight. My bf needs a new mattress in the nearish future and I’m just starting to research them. I’ll be interested to see what makes this one special. A matress does really affect my sleep. When I like one in a hotel, I a’ve been writing down the brand and style. There was a Canadian one I loved, but that was before I was smart enough to write it down. Thank you. CTD

  2. Hi Traci,
Your webinar and intellibed recommendation is very timely. We have been considering a new mattress and I had never heard of this one. I love the fact that I can try it for 60 days and return it if I don’t like it with a full refund. I made a list of questions while I listened and I’ll give them a call tomorrow to see what they say.

    Another question…totally different subject.

I initially found your blog while looking for ideas to improve the looks of my patio. I loved yours. I loved your sweet hubby working in his socks ;-) I just wonder how the stain has been holding up. I’m seriously considering tackling mine and want to be sure it will last. My neighbor painted his driveway with concrete paint and it looks AWFUL!!! I sure don’t want to make that mistake. Please drop me a quick line and let me know how yours is doing.

Love your blog. Love your family. Love your home. Guess that means I love U.

    Best regards from Texas.

  3. Happy that you’re enjoying your new mattress. I laughed when I saw the word “Sleepytown” because that’s what I say to let my sweet Gracie (12 year old Poodle/Bichon) know it’s time for bed.
