Lovin’ my Lowe’s!

So y’all know that if I could marry Lowe’s I would, right?

Don’t we look great together?

When I walk through those doors (almost everyday) my heart goes pitter patter.  The smell of the paint and the wood.  The sound of the lift machines beeping as they back up the aisles.  Pure bliss, I tell ya!

That is why when I was asked to be a part of the Lowe’s Creative Idea team a couple of years ago, I thought I had died and gone to heaven!

And when I got an email inviting me to Lowe’s headquarters last month, well let’s just say I may have peed my pants!

It was like meeting the in-laws!  But the good kind of in laws, not the bad kind. :)

It was going to be a quick trip, but worth every minute!  Lowe’s flew us in to North Carolina, and they spoiled us the first night with a fabulous dinner event.  They had our transportation decorated for Christmas…

And they drove us through a huge warehouse to this spectacular scene!!…

Do you see that “carpet” of poinsettias?!  It was seriously the most beautiful sight I have ever seen!

The tables were all decked out with Christmas decor.  Those white cone shaped trees were made with caulk!

And the tree centerpiece on this table was made with sand paper squares…

It was evening when we got there, so it was dark, and the stringed lights were beautiful.

They went all out on the food!  It was soooooo good!

This is just the dessert table!  I ate one of everything, and even more of a few!

After dinner, we went back to the hotel.

The next day, we were able to visit Lowe’s headquarters.  It just happened to be “red vest” day, and all of the employees went outside for a group picture.  It had nothing to do with us being there, but I couldn’t help but think that this is what my wedding guests would look like when I married Lowe’s.

We had a FULL agenda that day.  We even got to tour a top-secret part of Lowe’s that we couldn’t take pictures of.  (They even took our phones away from us during the tour to make sure we didn’t take pictures!)    I don’t think they realized how dangerous it was to take phones away from bloggers.  We had some serious withdraw!  Some of us began to get the shakes!

In one session, we got a chance to preview some of the 2015 Lowe’s Spring Collection.  It’s really beautiful!

We also had the privilege of listening to Better Homes and Garden Editor, Eddie Ross.

I’ve wanted to meet Eddie for a long time.  He is at so many blogger events sharing his talent, and I am so glad I finally got to listen to him in person.

That night, Lowe’s spoiled us again by taking us to a Charlotte Hornets basketball game!

We got to go in a special entrance, and we were escorted to the Lowe’s suite to watch the game!

Here are some of us with the mascot…(I’m on the far right.)

It was such a great time.

Cy and I had a good laugh over this trip.  He said, “How is it that my wife is going to a Lowe’s event and gets to watch the Charlotte Hornets play ball, while I stay home and watch the kids?!”  :)

Crazy, this blogging thing.  You never know what opportunities may come your way.

Well, I am so thankful to all of the Lowe’s team that put this event together.  It was a top notch event.  The best part of the whole event was the brainstorming sessions we had with members of the Lowe’s marketing and branding team.  They loved listening to us about how we can work together to share their brand and how they can make it the best for their customers.

Lowe’s you melt my heart.  :)

  1. the poinsettias are GORGEOUS! Just had to laugh and then comment because your tree initials are so familiar. My three siblings and I all had the initials TLH growing up! =)
