Dude, We have PINK in our house!

So, we have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get a ton of projects completed on our house before our host daughter arrives!

Now, do we HAVE to get these projects finished before she comes?   No.  Not really.  But we don’t want to have unfinished projects hanging over our head before she gets here.  We want to be able to relax and just enjoy our time with her.  :)

BTW, did I mention that she will be here in 24 DAYS!!!

How did that happen?!!

The main thing that we did need to do was get her room ready.  So we had to turn our nasty, dirty, junky boys’ playroom into a pretty, clean, girly bedroom.

It was a task that would make most grown men cry, but we did it!

I will show you pictures soon, but I am cracking up that there is actually PINK in our house!  Dude, that weird.  And delightful at the same time!

I posted this picture of her closet on Instagram earlier this week…

Do you follow me on Instagram?  If not, I would love for you to! :)  I am always posting “sneak peeks” and behind the scenes stuff over there.  I posted a clip of a song Jonathan is working on two days ago.  Come on over and join the fun….

It’s going to be different with a girl in the house.  I don’t know how many times I have said, “Are you going to do that when she is here?!” to my boys when they make “sounds” or “smells.”  (If you know what I mean!)

Oh goodness!  I will enjoy having a partner on the “girl team” because I have been WAY outnumbered over the years.

My boys are so excited about her coming, and I can’t wait to see them treat her like a princess!  My boys are not perfect by any means, but I have tried my best to teach them about how to respect young ladies and how to treat them like the treasure they are.  I know that we are all going to learn a LOT from having this sweet little girl here with us this summer.

Please continue to pray for us (and her) as we prepare for her arrival.  I truly appreciate all of the love and encouragement you have given us on this journey.

And I SO appreciate all the kind words you left on booster.com when purchasing the tshirts I made.  It meant the world to us!

We sold 67 tshirts and raised $827.o2 (all of which went directly to our adoption fees!)  I am printing out all of your sweet words to put in a special journal I am making for her.  I want her to see how people all over the world were excited about her being a part of our family.

THANK YOU!!!

A friend posted this on her timeline…

If you have any pictures of you wearing the tshirts, I would love to see them!  I know my mom’s sisters and my cousins bought some tshirts, so they better send some pics to me (hint.hint.)  :)

I would love to put these pictures in our host daughter’s journal as well.

Again, thank you so much!  Have a blessed day!
