Reader’s Christmas Home Tour – Day One

Readers-Christmas-Home-Tours

I am so excited to host my first ever Beneath My Heart Reader’s Christmas Home Tours!  I have received a lot of emails with pictures of your homes, and I am going to try and include most of them this coming week.  You guys see inside my house all the time, so it has been fun taking peeks inside of yours!  :)

To start of the tour, I would like to welcome our first BMH Reader, Jill from Nebraska!

Jill is the beautiful mother of four!

I asked her what her favorite part of Christmas is, and she said…

“As a family of 6, one of our favorite Christmas traditions is participating in packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach our children the gift of giving. It helps us to get our hearts in the right place, turning our focus from ourselves to Christ and to others. “

Agreed, Jill!!  My mom’s favorite part of Christmas was always putting up our Nativity which is why I loved the picture of yours so much!  Mom always wanted to make sure we spent time focusing on the most important part of Christmas.

I love how she hung her stockings on her staircase.  This is a great place to put them if you do not have a fireplace.

Isn’t her “Have yourself a Merry little Christmas” sign adorable?!!!  I need to get me one of those!

It looks so cute up there with the lamp and greenery.

I’ve been in love with these little pine and bottle-brush trees.  They make of the cutest little vignettes!

A lot of times, you see people decorate their front porch with wooden sleds, but I love how Jill used one inside her home.

She made a cute little centerpiece with a galvanized bucket, greenery, and ornaments….

Another cute vignette….

And she dressed up her “drop off zone” with a lantern and some presents…

The last pictures is my favorite.  Mainly because I am always a sucker for red gingham and chalkboards.  It’s a winning combination! :)  It’s such a simple display, but so festive!

Thank you so much, Jill, for inviting us into your beautiful home!  We all wish you and your family a very Merry CHRISTmas!  :)

Y’all come back tomorrow for Day Two of my BMH Reader’s Christmas Home Tours!
