Back Patio Makeover Reveal

MAKEOVERS

20 Jun

Hello, friends!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Before we left the states, we did a makeover on our back patio that we have been wanting to do for quite a while.

Since we have lived here, we have been using the covered part of our patio for an eating area, but I have always wanted to put conversation seating in this space.

I am so thrilled with how it has turned out, and I am so excited to share it with you!  Here are the before and afters…

We completed a diy project during this makeover that I will share with you later this week, but today I wanted to focus on this beautiful conversation seating group from Wayfair.

I am in love with navy and white right now, and I fell in love with this seating group as soon as I saw it.

Here is the seating group that I chose:

Lawson Patio Sectional

And because I wanted extra seating for large gatherings, I added two more chairs.

I bought some extra throw pillows with a damask pattern in navy, aqua, and white.

And I chose two navy blue Navajo-style lumbar pillows for both of my single chairs. (Similar HERE.)

The other pillows I used were ones that I already had.

I KNEW that I wanted a sign in my seating area that said “it is well with my soul” because it is one of my favorite songs, and I wanted this area to have a feeling of peacefulness.

Since I didn’t have a ton of money to spend on a sign, Cy and I made this one!  And I love the way it turned out.  I will show you how we did it in an upcoming post.

(I was thinking of selling signs like this one in my shop.  Do you think they would sell?)  :)

I brought a sofa table out of my house and put it in the corner so I could use it as a place to serve drinks.  We are thinking of putting a flat screen tv on the blank wall above the chair.  Wouldn’t that be fun?

The large coffee table is great to put up our feet and relax, and it is large enough to even put our food and drinks.  Right now, I just have it decorated with the planter from Lowe’s and some pink flowers.

I also found this garden stool and planter at Lowe’s as well.

The chairs are made of UV resistant outdoor resin wicker that looks just like real wicker until you touch it.  I know that it will last a long time.

So what do you think?!

I am soooooo pleased with how it turned out, and our whole family has been enjoying this space.  I have even taken some naps out here, and Cy loves sitting out here every evening and enjoying the nice weather.

I can’t wait to throw a party when we get back home with our girl!  This will be the perfect space for the occasion!

Let me know if you have any questions in the comments.

Have a blessed day!

Your patio looks GREAT!! I love blue and white too, it just screams outdoor summer fun to me. I’m obsessed with fonts, what font are your using for “heart” in your new logo, which I love by the way.

      Thank you so much!

Hey! I think I do still have the before table! :) Maybe I can get it to you later this summer. But it is not an outdoor table. :( I was just using it under the covered part of my porch.

      Hope to see you soon!

Your back porch is awesome looking! I noticed ther was a french door from the house leading outside. Did you swap out the french doors for windows? If so hoe do you get into the backyard now?

Yes mam! We sure did! Funny thing is that our home had two sets of french doors going to the outside. But we only ever used the ones from the kitchen. Since we never used the doors on our patio, we just replaced them with windows. Made much more sense for us. :)

Absolutely gorgeous! I wish my back porch was this big! My backyard goals are to get a flagstone patio extended off the porch – big enough for a table and/or gas fire pit.

Yes! I think your sign would sell. :D

    Blessings to you!
