Stories from Haven!

Soooooo, I have been so busy the past week,  that I haven’t posted since Saturday!!

As many of you know, I am on the Haven Conference planning team, and this past week, we hosted our 6th Haven conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Planning a conference isn’t for the faint of heart.  ha!  It takes a ton of work, and when the dates finally arrive for Haven to begin, my heart and mind are ALL over the place!!  I am going to write a more in-depth post this week, but for now, I just wanted to share with you my instal-stories to give you an idea of all that went on.  I uploaded my stories to youtube for you to see.  :)

Tomorrow, I am jumping on a plane with my hubby to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in Tybee Island!  I can’t wait, but I have to start packing.  :)  I’ll be sharing some of the fun over on instagram.  Come join me!  :)

  1. Planning any event takes a lot of time – I do this as part of my job, and frankly feel like I need a long vacation after each event. Something always goes wrong – it seems – and for the most part no one ever knows. But on those occasions something BIG goes wrong, well – ughhhhh!
From what I saw on Instagram it looked beautiful, fun, and well organized! You need a vacation :)
Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary and have fun in Tybee.

    1. Thanks, Sharon! This year went pretty smoothly, but Kristin, our wonderful event planner, is the one who handles any “hiccups.” She’s amazing and definitely deserves a great vacation!!

  2. You did a fabulous job!!! And oh my goodness gracious what a place!!! But I know y’all will loooove Charleston,SC. Take it from this SC gurl! There is so much to do, and see, oh my! By the way your voice reminds me so much of Dr. Edie Wadsworth, another beautiful, sweet lady!!!

    1. We are soooo excited about Charleston! It’s going to be so much fun. Edie is a dear friend of mine! We roomed together on our Compassion Bloggers trip to Nicaragua! I will tell her you said that! :)

  3. Congratulations on your anniversary! My husband and I will celebrate our 20th in October. Enjoy your trip!

  4. Congratulations & Happy Anniversary! I loved Tybee Island (years ago) and picking up sand dollars!
