Did you have a good weekend?! I sure hope so. The weather was really pretty in Kentucky this weekend, and I loved it!
Last week, I told you that we would be at a singing event on Thursday and Friday with Jonathan, and that a bunch of my family was coming in for the occasion, remember?
Well, we were all in Nashville on Friday, and it was so good to be with all of our precious family members on both side of our family!
Here are all the boys on Cy’s side of the family, (actually, there are a few more grandsons, but they couldn’t make it.)
Coleman, Luke, Pop, Jonathan, Cy, Tim, Adam, Casey, and Eli on top!
The girls from Cy’s side of the family that were there were Aunt Sarah, Sania Louise, Gammaw, and me!…
Sania is the only granddaughter on Cy’s side of the family! Yep, she’s spoiled. :)
Three generations of Hutcherson men here….
My family came too, but I didn’t get any pictures of them. It was my brother, Blake, and two of his kids, Kinsey and Ryan. My dad drove down with them, and my sister, Cyndi and her husband, Wayne drove down too! It was so fun all being together.
I got this picture of Cy and Sania. She has her daddy wrapped!!
And I got this picture of my two oldest boys! Luke is passing up his older brother! :)
It was actually a reeeeeaaaaally long day that started at 7:00 in the morning. We were crammed into a small space with lots of people, so it got pretty interesting at times. :) Jonathan had some meetings and interviews, but the rest of us just sat around and waited.
Sania was worn out from waiting, and after lunch, she napped on my dad’s shoulder. You may not be able to tell by the photo, but my daddy was loving every minute of it! :) It brought back wonderful memories to me of the countless times I found safety and rest in my daddy’s arms.
Okay, let’s get to the fun part of the day….
So…Why did Ryan Seacrest smell my wrist?
Y’all know Ryan, right?
He became famous from hosting American Idol, but he is also a host at Enews! and is the co-host with Kelly Rippa on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”
Well, we just happened to be sitting RIGHT where he walked in and stopped to talk to the crowd.
I shook his hand, and he stood about 3 feet in front of me and talked to everyone.
Here he is shaking my son, Luke’s hand….
When he was done talking to the crowd, he went over to his assistant to chat about what was happening next.
Over my shoulder, I heard him say, “Something smells good.” Knowing I had just applied two of my favorite oils, Valor and Magnify Your Purpose, and because I was only a few feet away from him, I was pretty sure that he was smelling me. :)
After chatting with his assistant, he walked back in front of us where he had been before, and he said to the crowd, “Something smells good! Do you smell that? Who is that?!”
I said, “It’s me!” and he turned around and said, “Really?”
The whole room was watching and laughing as I held my wrist up for him to smell and he said, “Yep, it you! What is that?”
I told him it was essential oils, and he was like, “Ahhh…yeah…I thought it smelled like a spa in here.”
Of course, I think it was at that point that my kids were hiding their face in their hands! ha! But I was loving every minute of it!
RYAN SEACREST JUST SMELLED MY WRIST AND SAID IT SMELLED GOOD!! :)
Of course, the cameras were rolling the whole time, but I don’t think that will make it on the air. haha!
Anyway, I shared the whole thing on my Instagram stories, and many peeps were asking what oils I were wearing that smelled so good. Well, I had Valor on the back of my neck, but I knew that Ryan was smelling Magnify your Purpose. It has always been one of my favorite smelling oils from Young Living. It think it smells better on than in the bottle.
Here is what it is made of:
Let’s just say that I am going to keep on wearing this as my perfume! I’ll let you know if any other famous people smell my wrist! haha!
