Notes from Home – Episode 11 “Paint & Floors”

Hey friends!  

I hope you have had a great week! I am so excited to share this week’s episode of Notes from Home with you!

Not only do we show you the beginning of us painting our home, but we also give you some updated pictures and videos of our new flooring!

We have been living with our new flooring for almost two months, and we absolutely LOVE it!  I actually love it more now than I did at first.  

We are still renovating our interior…like, we still have a make-shift kitchen…but we are slowly starting to decorate bits and pieces of each room.  At least our home is decorated enough to share a little bit of it with you today!

I have learned that it doesn’t take much to make a room pretty because the flooring steals the show! haha!

I got some of Sania’s bedroom decor from our last home, like curtains and pictures, and hung them up in her room.  Her room is the most “put together” in the house!  :). She said, “it feels just like home.”  

I’ve had this same bedding and decor since we brought her home with us almost four years ago.  I need to update it sometime soon, but for right now, it works perfectly! 

  

Now, I really, really love the look of our bedroom furniture on our new flooring. I’m a sucker for crisp blacks and whites mixed with warm wood tones!

 

 

 

I love how cozy the flooring makes each room feel.  And it looks beautiful in our entry way as well!

One of the things I have enjoyed about this flooring is the way it is so easy to clean!  First of all, it hides dirt well because of the color.  And when I do see a little dirt, I just sweep it right up, and it looks great!  The matte finish on this flooring is stunning.  In our previous homes, we have always stained our flooring ourselves and used a semi-gloss poly on top.  But man, I am really digging the look of a matte finish on our new floors!
