A late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Well, it’s been a while since I’ve written a post, and I know i’m over a week late, but I still wanted to share our Christmas card with you!

The photo is from Luke and Mia’s dinner rehearsal this past summer. I love how our family has grown, and now I have two sweet daughters-in-laws! They are such a blessing to our family!!!!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We had our immediate family Christmas here in Tennessee. It was so much fun! I gave all the kids matching pajamas, and then we all went ot Walmart in them! Yup, we did! 😂

The past few years since we moved to Tennessee, we kind of started a new tradition. As part of our gifts to our children, we would have a fun night when we give them money to buy gifts for their siblings. (It makes Christmas shopping easier on me! haha.). They would have an hour to shop the mall, or whatever store we went to, to buy a small gift for each of their siblings.
This year, we changed things a little. Since we have two sweet DIL’s joining the fam, we had everyone draw just one family member’s name out of a bag, and they had 20 minutes to shop for their person. Adding a time limit makes it more fun. :)
After everyone got their gifts, we headed down the street to the Waffle House to eat. Yes, we are THAT family.🤣 Our family loves doing crazy things together, and I’m so thankful Adam and Luke married girls who love it too!

When we got back home with full bellies, I set up a wrapping station in my bedroom for everyone to go to, one at a time, to wrap their gift for their person. While each person was wrapping, the girls made buckeyes and colored in coloring books, while the boys played with a present I gave them called, Boxbollen.
I captured some of the fun on my phone and shared it in my instagram stories, and I uploaded those stories to Youtube if you want to see all the fun in action. 😂. Just click on the photo below…
It was such a special time, and it meant a lot to me since I knew we wouldn’t all be together on Christmas day. 😔 Adam and Lucy stayed in Tennessee for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The rest of us went to Kentucky to spend time with my family.
I’m in that stage of life where some of my kids are starting their own lives, and it is so bittersweet. Somedays it hurts and makes me really sad, to be honest. But I also know that it is our job as parents to raise our children well, so that they can leave the nest and start their own lives. And I am so proud of all of my children and the choices they are making. Above all, they love and know Jesus, so how could I ask for more!
We missed Adam and Lucy on Christmas morning, but I am so happy for them. They are a precious couple.❤️
We still had a wonderful time with our Kentucky family…

And we stayed at the CUTEST airbnb in Harrodsburg called “The Railraod House.” I share more about that in a future post.

It was the most perfect little place to stay in for Christmas, and the owners even had a Christmas tree and decor throughout the house. We LOVED IT!!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I have some fun posts coming up in the new year about the work we have been doing on our Pond House, the paint color we picked for Four Gables, a new barn, and an EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! EEK!
Until then, Love and Blessings,
Traci

I always wonder how others do Christmas(gifts), especially once their kids all start to marry. I still buy all my kids/spouses and grands 2-3 gifts each. I try to set a money limit but it still is a lot to buy. So the P.J/gift buying tradition night was the gifts you did for your kids or on Christ. Eve and Day you gave more gifts to who was there? I saw in the video you mentioned you gave Adam and his wife their gifts as they weren’t going to be with you all for Christmas morning. I think your videos were sweet and everyone was in good spirits to go to the store and waffle house in their P.J’s. I look forward to hearing your new surprise to come. Happy New Year to you and I know you will be as busy as ever. Can you believe it won’t be long and you will be planting your garden again.
So, so, SO fun!! What great ideas! Merry belated Christmas and God’s sweet blessings to you and yours in 2025!
Thanks for sharing!! What a great family you have! I can’t wait to try the buckeye recipe. I love that you honor that memory of how your mom made Christmas special every year. Wishing you and your family blessings that overflow in 2025❤️❤️
Always enjoy your posts and seeing your beautiful family. Happy New Year!
I forgot to ask, where did you get the girls PJs from??
