Easy Ways to Decorate with Wooden Crates
I want to share some easy ways to decorate with wooden crates with you today.
Since Jonathan moved into his new apartment a few weeks ago, I have been brainstorming inexpensive and creative ways to help him decorate it.
Wooden crates are a great way to get a unique look without spending a ton of money. Sometimes, you can even find them free!
Here are some favorite inspiration pics I found on Pinterest…(follow me on Pinterest HERE.)
If you are in need of a coffee table, you can definitely create your own with four wooden crates.
Add some metal pin legs to your crates (like these from Target) to create some creative storage units.
Use a small crate to store your laundry supplies in…
Create an inexpensive and SUPER cool desk for yourself or your kiddos!
I love the idea of painting or staining a bunch of crates in the same color and creating a large bookshelf out of them. I especially like the crates painted/stained this dark gray color…
Add some fun and colorful wall storage units to your kid’s room with wooden crates! Let them help you pick out fun colors and patterns.
I absolutely LOVE this crate that is being used for a bedside table! I think I am going to be on the lookout for one that we can use in Jonathan’s room at his apartment.
If you need some extra storage space in your bathroom, consider using wooden crates on the walls to hold towels and extra toilet paper.
If you have pets in your home, you could easily turn a crate into a feeding station…
or remove a few slates and add a comfy pillow to create a pet bed….
The coffee table blew me away!! I’m using an old Family trunk and I love it but the crate table is bigger! It might be too big for our space but, honestly, I think it is fantastic and very, very charming!!! Thanks!
Great ideas! I especially like the idea of using crates to make a coffee table. I never would have thought of doing that.
What a great post. Who knew what you could do with crates. I love the coffee table. Looks so neat. Please share more about Jonathan(and yourself) how the move has gone. Are you there yet? Who is managing your other children to and from school etc. when you are gone? I think you are superwoman. You do so much and have such a lovely family.
When taken apart for …moving on…..they will still be great for something else, some where else. great job.
I loved repurposing. And…I love your blog. Thank you my entertainment and keeping us informed in all your creative endeavors.
We will be getting a kitten in about 2 months…I love the pet bed idea! :)
