Our Staircase Makeover: Part One

It’s time.

We have lived in this house for almost 7 years, and IT’S TIME!

We are finally tackling our staircase!  Woohoo!

This is a project I have wanted to do since we moved into this house, but with so many other projects that needed to be completed first, my staircase just kept getting bump to the bottom of the “to do” list.

But atlas, no more!

Here we go, ladies!

By the end of the week, (hopefully) I will be revealing my new beautiful staircase!

I made a little video to get us started.
(If you are reading this post in your email, you may have to click on the post title to view the video on my blog.)

Have you completed a makeover on your staircase?
If so, share the link in the comments. I would love to see them! :)
It’s gonna be fun, so be sure to be back tomorrow! :)

  1. I can’t wait to see what you’ve done. Traci, how often does that little table at the bottom of the stairs get bumped? I just pictured all your boys racing down the stairs and crashing into it…. he he Have a great week!

  2. More times than I can count! :)
    That thing is barely standing..seriously.
I found a pair of underwear in the plant on that table last week!
    Have a great week! :)

  3. Can’t wait to see your staircase makeover!! Loving all of your vlogs lately! Your hubby cracks me up! :) Somehow, today I realized that I wasn’t a follower of this blog…what the?!? That’s crazy! Needless to say, I fixed that real quick!! Happy Monday to you! Hope you have fantastic week!

  4. You guys are too cute! I love that your hubby is involved with the video taping :)

Did you see Holly Mathis’ post with our numbers going up the stairs? Too cute!!

I bet yours are going to be gorgeous stained dark! can’t wait to see!

  5. You are so adorable and seriously such an inspirational woman, both spiritually and thru all your awesome projects! I look forward to your emails with new and awesome ideas for my home. Thank you so much for sharing a little part of your life with all of us!

God bless you and your family!

  6. Can’t wait to see the project details! I’m starting to work on ours as well and I must say; yours stairs looks great compared to my old things!! LOL! Thanks for the inspiration!!

  7. Hey girl! You KNOW I can’t wait to see what you do with your stairs…ours is on our to do list for this spring! (of course, so is building a window seat, painting our table and chairs and re-upholstering them, re-doing the laundry room….and so forth and so on. I’m thinking something might not get done, but I’m hoping it’s not the stairs..they SO need to be fixed! No more 80’s oak!! argh!) :) I cracked up that you found a pair of underwear in your plant…sounds like something that would happen around here with my boys! lol Oh the life of a mom with lots of boys in the house! :)
Love ya and can’t wait to see what you guys do!

  8. I am so excited that you are going to do this. I have been begging my husband to take the carpet off our stairs and stain them a dark color (they are presently oak). He refuses to do this so I can’t wait to show him the video. I think he was impressed with the transformation of the brass light fixture.
