Sunday Encouragement

Do you ever feel weary as you wait on the Lord to answer your prayers?

I know I do.

Waiting is one of the most difficult things to do in life.  In this fast-paced, instant-everything world, we find it hard to wait.

But God’s word says that when we wait for the Lord, we will gain new strength.

So maybe the waiting isn’t for God to work, but for Him to do a work in us?

Isaiah 40:31 tells us that if we wait upon the Lord, we will rise up with wings like eagles.

Have you ever stood in awe of the majesty of an eagle as it soars?!  It is glorious!  Not like a little duck that flaps from place to place, but an EAGLE that soars!  I wanna soar like an eagle!

Sometimes the trials in our lives seem like never ending marathons.  But God says when we wait upon Him, we will run without getting tired and walk without getting weary.

So during those times when we are waiting on the Lord, maybe God is developing a strength and character in use that we never knew we had?

Maybe He has blessings in store for us that we would have never seen if we were not waiting on Him?

One thing I know for sure…when we wait on the Lord and trust in Him at all times, he fills our hearts with a peace that only HE can give.

My encouragement for you today…

If you are going through a difficult time,

If you are waiting for the Lord to answer your prayers,

If you are unsure of your future…

Wait on Him.  Trust Him.  His timing is perfect.

He give you the strength to soar on wings like Eagles!

May you discover HIS blessings as you wait.

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. Thank you Traci! I lost my amazing, wonderfully fit, Godly husband of 44 yrs, three weeks ago, to a sudden, fatal heart attack. It completely blindsided my children and I. But God is faithful and of great compassion. He has raised ‘trust’ to a new level in my life. He will cause me to soar again as I wait on Him, despite a broken heart. Thanks for your encouragement today!

  2. I’m totally in that waiting time right now. Thank you for the reminder… your words were God speaking to my heart today.

  3. Thank you doe this Word today. I will be having my last chemo treatment Ina week and I am waiting to soar like an. Eagle. It is preventive so I already have my miracle,

  4. Thank you for your post today. Facing trials for manny years now and trying my best to hold on to these life long words.

  5. Traci – Thank you SO much for these encouraging words. I have been unemployed since this past June after 16 years with the same company. I know the Lord has a plan for me and have seen Him at work in my life. I lost my dad and my grandmother this past year so this time of unemployment gave me time to be with my mom when she needed me. His timing is perfect! I’ll be honest, it’s been frustrating waiting on Him but I rest in Him knowing he will bless my life and he knows what’s best for me.

  6. Wow! I sure needed these words today. Each day, I keep saying I can’t take one more thing, but the Lord gives me yet another. I know this is all for a purpose – and I have to rely on Him.

  7. I am still shaking my head and simply amazed at how much the Lord loves me and takes the time to orchestrate things just right to show me that He is listening and that I matter to him. This morning I read what your sister Cyndi posted on her blog and responded to it. It was quite lengthy so I won’t repost here. Then I open my email to read your post for today. You start out asking the question that you did and then reference Isaiah 40:31 (which I have been keeping close to my heart for years now since I first began a lengthy and grueling battle with my health issues). As tears are streaming down my face there is no doubt in my mind that this wasn’t coincidence but it is My Lord and Savior reaching out to me through other wonderful and caring Christian’s like you and your sister to bring comfort to someone in need. Bless you and thank you for all that you do by sharing your heart and faith :)

  8. Yes, amen! I have been waiting on an answer to a certain thing the past few months, and thus far, no answer is in sight, but I KNOW that He will bring it to me in due time. My part is to just trust and believe and continue to have joy as I wait.

  9. Thank you Traci, I really needed this message today! God Bless you and your family.

    Blessings and Hugs from Louisiana!
