Beneath My Heart

Stitch Fix Vacay Part II, PLUS $500 Giveaway!!!

fashion

7 May

**Be sure to check out the end of the post to see how you can enter the $500 Stitch Fix giveaway!

I know you guys have been anxiously awaiting the second half of my Stitch Fix Vacay post, right?

Pins and needles, no?

Well, if you missed my first post about my trip to San Francisco with my Sister to visit Stitch Fix, you can view it HERE.  We were on the trip with Cheryl, from Tidy Mom, and her beautiful daughter, Allison.  We had so much fun together!!

StitchFix-58

The first day of the trip, we visited the Stitch Fix headquarters.

Day two, we visited the “Hizzy.”  That is what the Stitch Fix employees affectionately call the warehouse.

We were absolutely giddy to be in a warehouse full of clothes and accessories!

I was so impressed with the whole process of how they pack your personal fix.

stitch fix collage

1.  There are rows and rows of clothing and accessories shipped to the Hizzy.

2.  Each item of clothing is carefully inspected.

3.   They go through the rows of clothes to find the items for your fix.

4.  After they find the five items for you fix, they are checked AGAIN to make sure they are the correct pieces and that they are in perfect condition.

5.  The pieces in your fix are carefully wrapped to create the special “experience” of opening your fix when it arrives to your home.

6.  Your fix is packaged, taped, and mailed to your home!

I had so much fun packing my fix for Jodi.  I hope she liked it. Smile

Here’s a fun video of us packing our boxes, and you can catch glimpses of their special employees at the Hizzy.

I was so taken back by how happy they all were to be working there.  Their enthusiasm was contagious!

I received 1 stitch Fix box and loved the selections. However, being petite, the clothes overwhelmed me. I’m hoping they begin offering more petite sizes.

I love how you get a professional’s input into what would look good on you. I have a hard time seeing past my comfort colors (can you say black?) and trying new things. Sometimes all it takes is someone else to find something that will look and feel great on you!

I’ve been doing Stitch Fix for a year and a half or so now and I just love it! I think the anticipation of what’s going to be in that box each month is just about the best part. And I’ve acquired so many great wardrobe pieces I’m not sure I ever would have picked and tried on for myself. So much fun!

I’ve been going from pregnant to breastfeeding to pregnant to breastfeeding for the last few years and my weight has fluctuated a good 40 pounds within each year. Because of this, my closet is so weird – sort of like my kid’s where all of the clothes in a certain size go with a certain season. Right now it’s warming up and I only have a handful of summer items that fit me at this moment (and they probably won’t fit me anymore by the time August rolls around).

I love to shop but I have a one year old and a two year old, and while they are great shoppers, maneuvering a double stroller through aisles and into dressing rooms is not fun. I love the idea of a subscription box that comes to me with my current size and season-appropriate clothes! What a great idea!

I would love to win a gift card to Stitch Fix! I have friends who use the service and love it. As busy moms, shopping for ourselves sometimes gets pushed to the back burner. For anyone dreaming of having their very own personal shopper, Stitch Fix is the way to go!

I need this!!! Some people have the gift of fashion, I don’t. It would be so helpful for someone to tell me what does or doesn’t look good on me.

I need this. I have an eye for good fashion for other people, but when I buy for myself I tend to fall apart thinking nothing will “work” for me and then regretting I didnt buy an item.
It would be great to have some help!

I just moved recently and have been spending every single weekend on home DIY projects. There’s no time, patience, or energy left for shopping, but my wardrobe for work could really use some TLC.

I love the surprise of receiving a Fix. That you never know what is going to be in the box and that most often the things in there are nothing you would choose for yourself but wind up being beyond perfect.

I have read about Stitch Fix for a while now, but have not tried and would love to. The thought of someone else “shopping” for me sounds wonderful especially for unique pieces that I probably would not try myself. It would be good for me to step out of my box at this stage of life!

I love the idea of having someone else look at your style and then put together things that they think you’ll love … maybe picking things you wouldn’t think of for yourself, but loving. Plus, not having to go to stores and trying on at home?! The best!!

I like that someone helps you with your style, makes outfit suggestions and it all comes straight to your house. It would be nice to change things up just a little bit while still staying true to my personal style preferences.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.

She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off
topic but I had to tell someone!

We are currently stationed overseas (APO) and sometimes finding clothes in my size and style can be difficult. And of course, it’s always challenging to shop with young children at my side! ;) I love that fashionable, affordable pieces come right to me. Thanks!
